The beds were clean and comfortable. Enough pillows of all selections was awesome.
I was there for work! I would highly recommend the Indian restaurant there! Mughal garden restaurant. I’ve been to a lot of Indian restaurants in Vancouver and this is right up there for quality. Don’t let the decor fool you it’s fantastic food, for so cheap!! $10.99 for dinner. I had the goat curry with naan. I will be going back every time I’m in merrit!

The murals were fun to walk around to look at.
The murals were fun to walk around to look at. We enjoyed the museum. Every person in service work was friendly and chatty in a really nice way. There is a good choice of places to eat, to stay, and places to walk around, looking at murals and historical homes that are easily seen on foot.
We had a good breakfast at the Coldwater Hotel, a beautiful old building, and were completely surprised to be served our food by a robot! The server, lovely woman, informed us that the restaurant tried to find staff, but no one applied and the robot enables her to not be run off her feet.

We heard that it is not a good time to visit Merritt this summer. This is apparently because of floods evacuees from the neighboring areas are occupying most hotel rooms. This is probably the reason for high price for a hotel room we had to pay during our stay.
Merritt is also not ready to handle diners at the restaurants and fast food this summer- We had to face much longer lines than in other towns on our road trip from Calgary to Vancouver.

At the first glance, Merritt doesn't look like much, but when you start discovering it, it is really nice. We visited lake Nicola and Lake St. Jeune, both very beautiful. The great thing was that there were not too many people and driving there was relaxing and the views of the mountains, amazing!

Good and affordable place to stop if you’re crossing the province. It has some nice parks and cafes too! We visited Luis memorial park and Nicola park. There’s a place called Kekuli cafe and bannock, it’s a must go if you are in town for breakfast or lunch!

Merritt is a beautiful dessert town in the mountains.
Merritt is a beautiful dessert town in the mountains. Glad we were forced to spend the night here as it had loads of character, and the stay over added some spice to our journey home.
We ventured to the local A & W for breakfast and were charmed by some the locals as they shared their morning coffee with friends.
Because I was just travelling through, I liked that the hotel was a short deviation from the highway and easy to find. Parking was a breeze, and the ramp up the short rise to the door handled my bags. The staff of the newly-reopened building were welcoming, and most concerned to make sure that everything was as it should be.
Considering the price of every other similar accommodation I looked at, this was good value for money.
The lady who looked after us was exceptional. We enjoyed our stay and the facility was perfect
and met our needs. It was quiet during the evening and we had a great sleep.
The location is perfect for anything you want to do in Merritt. They are working on creating a lovely garden project which will really enhance the area. We are looking forward to staying here again!
Ducked into Merritt during a thunderstorm on our motorbike. I was quite stressed but the room was great to relax in and we watched the storm from our large windows. Was very much needed after travelling for four days and am grateful we snagged the very last room in the hotel.
Very historic, a nice change from the chain hotels. Very accommodating management and staff.Full breakfast off the menu at the restaurant included. Historic bar on bottom floor. Air conditioning was very quiet and efficient, it was a very hot day
The room was beautiful and spacious with many amenities. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but it looked like a good facility. The hotel was quiet and parking was accessible.
