I've been many times; the restaurant selection keeps getting better; wonderful harbor views altho the massive building boom is making it harder and harder to see the views unless you walk to the bay or view over the bridge or Dartmouth side. Great public gardens, wonderful mix of older and new architecture; vibrant artist community. The downside is how pricey renting and hotels have become. And winter is a mess--the sleet, ice snow, and rain on those inclined streets make for very challenging walking & driving. Not for the weary. So go the other 3 seasons instead.

So many places to see and so many things you can do.
So many places to see and so many things you can do. Transportation should never be an issue. Bussing is right outside your door. Visit dartmouth with a ferry ride. Book a tour and visit cape Breton Island or Peggy's cove. The food downtown is amazing, casino is just thru the pedways of scotia Square.

If you purpose is to visit Halifax, The Inn may not be the right location, Be aware, it's on the Dartmouth side of the Harbour, so you will need to cross the MacDonald Bridge, approx. 20 mins away or use the Metro Ferry 10 Mins away. The total commute would take about 30 mins, non-rush-hour. But if you are attending CFB Shearwater or Eastern Passage area this is perfect. The Inn is located next to Fisherman's Wharf and that is major highlight. But that's more for the warm weather months.

I loved sight-seeing and having someone to share the history of Halifax and the municipalities around it. There was so much to see and experience that the 4 days I was there wasn't close to being enough time. I did manage to see Peggy's Cove, the marine museum, the art gallery and experience the canon going off at the Citadel. I went in the winter and the boardwalk had some fun things to experience and it was all family friendly.
There's this place called Brawta's, a Jamaican spot, and I had to eat there twice. It was super authentic and the food was delicious and owner/workers were so nice and friendly. Definitely recommend to go there.
Outside of having friends there to drive me around, they had buses running constantly so that was a great option for doing things nearby.

We love Halifax.
We love Halifax. It is a friendly city, and easy to get around. We love the Harbour Hopper, the boardwalk, the Art Gallery of NS, the Public Gardens, The Dairy Bar, Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, seafood chowder at The Esquire in Bedford, lobster rolls at Dave’s Lobster Shack, Java Blend coffee, the Blue Nose II on Hollis Street, among many other things. We are never in Halifax long enough, and have returned many times, never running out of things to see and do. We are looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Halifax was easy to walk around and so much to do along the waterfront. We had a great time with lots of restaurants to choose from. We also found a great Wine Bar called Peacocks. Which we really enjoyed and were made to feel like friends when we arrived. lots of activities and lots of boat trips we did at least 5.

The front desk staff are really friendly and fast, check-in was easy. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. The bed was fantastic! I had an amazing sleep. The fitness room is incredible, they also have a separate room for Yoga and meditation. We had breakfast both days st the restaurant: very good. We did not have a car so were walking and ubering: it is a 45 minute walk to the ferry, which we enjoyed, and an $18 uber from downtown Halifax. I'd recommend this hotel.
The hotel is in an xtremely conventient location in downtown Halifax. We were able to easily bus directly there from the airport and could walk to all the main downtown attractions, restuarants etc. The hotel has a restaurant, fitness club and pool. It is also connected to a mall and other stores making it very convenient to access services. Very clean and comfortable and well priced.
the prince george hotel and a in a great location between the citadel and the wharf and is perfect for exploring Halifax. The beds were very comfortable with a variety of pillows and bedding to suit all. The rooms are clean and quiet and service is excellent. While we took advantage of the rooftop bar for happy hour and nibbles we opted to explore nearby cafes for breakfast.
This apartment is in an ideal location to walk to everything you would want to see in downtown Halifax. It is spacious and comfortable and well equipped and has a large supermarket nearby and it’s on a bus route.
The cleaners who look after the property are exceptionally warm and welcoming to us too.
