An incredibly spacious property on the bank of the river. Use of a kayak and paddle board was an added bonus. Huge kitchen with everything supplied. Hot tub, fire pit and even a downstairs drinks counter. Very quiet. The kids had such a great time swimming in the river. Rooms were all very comfortable, the pics do not do this place justice.

The Boston Pizza was a nice dining place and it is near to waterfront activities. We went to the Torrance Barrens for stargazing, the moon was too bright for star-observing though, the sunset on the waterfront and beavers in the ponds were so cute and surprisingly delightful to watch. The Tree Museum was a good idea, however, the flying bugs in the woods were quite disturbing in the summer. The unexpected antique car show turns out to be a highlight of our short trip during the weekend.

Beautiful town, the Bethune house museum is definitely worth a visit. Very informative. Most places seem to be walkable, park car and go. The Wenonah2 ship was good, BUT it is like touring the fancy cottages. Kind of disappointed that Lake Muskoka is so built up .

Like the city, it has a nice access and activities to the lake.
The boat trip to view the fireworks was mediocre. Unlike boat tours in different areas, there was no information or explanation about the area, history etc…it was also hard to view the fireworks the way the boat was located.

Gravenhurst is a beautiful town with great vistas of Lake Muskoka. We stayed at the Taboo but it was kind of off the beaten track so we didn't get to dine out because it was too far to drive. We were only there for 2 days and unfortunately it rained on one of them so we didn't get to take the cruise. The shops were lovely. Getting around wasn't easy ...the signs were poor for visitors who didn't know the area. I think if we came again we would stay at the Residence because it is closer to the amenities and restaurants.

We realized that early in the week in March, a lot of places weren’t open-that’s ok.
We were able to visit nearby places and XC ski, which is one of the reasons we came. We’ve been before so knew what to expect. We will be back as we can pass through on our way further north to see family.

We ate at Boston Pizza, and a restaurant close-by. both were good.
I don't need to read the reviews on this location.
I believe the Gravenhurst Inn well managed.

I liked the atmosphere, the cleanliness, how tranquil and well-kept this house was. I cherished every moment we stayed there. The family who owns the house are truly delightful, and I hope to return as soon as possible. Blue spruce is a pleasant walk from Gravenhurst's boardwalk and city centre. We happened to be there on a day when there was a farmers market, which operates on Wednesdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it was a wonderful experience. I liked how well-organized the blue spruce house is.
Exceptionally friendly and helpful host; thank you Jen. Plenty of space in room with our own lounge. Very comfortable bed, with a spare sofa bed in the lounge. Great coffee and tea making facility in hallway, with real milk in fridge. Easy walk to Gull lake for swimming. Gravenhurst is a lovely little town
