We had a great time at the Hidden Valley Resort. We were there for 2 nights, including New Year’s Eve, which turned out to be an awesome evening at the hotel. Great party, music and fireworks show at 6pm just outside the hotel (perfect time for younger kids to enjoy as well). Our group of over 20 people had a really good time - adults and kids (6yr old - 15yr old kids)!
The hotel itself is a bit outdated, but clean. Breakfast was okay for the price. Kids loved the pool and having the ski hill right there was a bonus!
Overall we were all pleased with our stay and would recommend for budget friendly getaways :)

They planned lots of indoor activities for the kids, which is perfect when you travel with kids on a very snowy cold day (we travelled with a baby and a 7 year old, they both enjoyed so much of the time spent there)

Dwight is located on Lake of Bays, has very nice Dwight public sandy beach. There's also very easy access to trails, lakes, Oxtongue Rapids and Algonquin, Arrowhead and Ragged Falls Provincial Parks. Dwight is about 20 minutes from Huntsville, the nearest town with nice restaurants and shopping.

I loved my stay in Dwight and would highly recommend Muskoka Waterfront Resort - mostly because of the privacy, peace and quiet. The staff are so kind and attentive, the resort is warm and friendly and I look forward to returning one day soon!

We stayed two nights in Dwight, exploring the lakes on the area by jetski in the day. There are lots of lakes yo explore. All are really pretty. We would have liked to have had more time to paddle and swim. We went for a hike in the rain in Algonquin Park on our last partial day.

Dwight was lovely a quaint small Town had a pharmacy and a small grocery store. Had a LCBO, had an amazing bakery. Everything you need is there. So very close to Algonquin Park to have great adventures walking the many trails. Perfect location.

The location was perfect. We have a cottage at South Portage and we are in the midst of rebuilding it. We had to meet with the builder and needed a place to stay. As we have had the cottage in our family since 1950, we have driven past The Dwight Motel a gazillion times and have admired the property as have all our friends. So when we needed a place to stay, there was no question as to where that place would be. Trust me when I say, everything was perfect!!
A big compliment and thank you to this excellent host. We had a wonderful and unique stay. Right from the start, the host gave us helpful tips, especially about the nearby Algonquin Park.There was a family atmosphere from the start.
The breakfast offered on site was also very good.
We had a great stay and we would like to come back. :)
The public beach of Dwight is a short walk from the rooms and is great, well kept and light. The beach at the resort is good. The beds were comfortable. It was very quiet at night.
