Beautiful location, quiet and picturesque
We loved the cabin we were in. Fireplace, hot tub, cozy seating, and comfy bed. We wish we had stayed more than 3 days. Lady that greeted us in the office was very helpful in suggesting places to eat. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fabulous hot breakfast served by very friendly servers.
That we arrived between seasons was a plus for our group.
That we arrived between seasons was a plus for our group. We were able to enjoy the walks and there was quiet. I imagine that for families with older children there may be a desire for the fun-parks and rides which were closing down as the area headed into the school season. The nature walks were full of wonder. We were centrally located and were able to reach the highlights with a minimum of driving.
Fans of Anne will be happy to spend a long day at the various sites...

Area is quaint and beautiful, locals were very nice and helpful, and it has most all you would need if you forgot something, except we were unable to find any bank that could exchange USD for CAD, which we overcame by using credit card but would have preferred to use cash to help the many small businesses.

It was late in the season so some shops and restaurants were closed during the week, but it was a lovely place. The bike path in the National Park was great for our e-bikes. We rode to Rustico Beach twice and had a great meal there.

The entertainment, Sandspits and other amusements were wonderful for the kids, meals are expensive but I guess that's the norm.
The beach was beautiful and the kids had an incredible time exploring it and finding their treasures.

Visiting Anne of Green Gables, Cows Ice Cream, the beach.
Visiting Anne of Green Gables, Cows Ice Cream, the beach. Food options were mediocre. Ripley's Believe it or Not charged one 10 year old more than the other 10 year old because he was 2" higher. There was no rides there, so height should not have made a difference. I literally couldn't believe that!

There is a lot to do in the Cavendish Area with an amusement park, Water Park, Anne of Green Gables site, nice beaches and lots of restaurants it is a great place to stay especially for families with kids (younger and teenaged kids)
We were about 40 minutes drive to Charlottetown.
We did not care for Cavendish beach and much preferred Thunder Cove beach which was approx 30 minutes away by car.

Location was great if you want to visit the Anne of Green Gables sites and Cavendish beach. Right opposite LM Montgomery resting place and near Montgomery park; easy walking distance to Green Gables Heritage site; walking distance to beach and 3 mins from national park/beach area; next to a Tim Horton's (!); parking; friendly reception. Swimming pool was nice to have but needs some work. Good grassy area with bbq and two tables - very handy for picnics. Friendly as easy to chat to other guests.
These cottages were a good place to stay for our family of 4 in Cavendish for a few days. Very central location which is why we chose it. Great playground for the kids, lots of other kids/families there. My kids enjoyed the pool as well. The beds were comfortable. I'd read other reviews complaining of bugs but we didn't encounter that (although there in September so less of an issue overall).
location (within the walking distance to the Cavendish beach and the Green Gables Museum and also just in front of the bus stop to Charlottetown);
- authentic and beautiful ancient building with a terrace and old-fashioned furniture and objects; my sunny room;
- breakfast; coffee/tea station available during all the day;
- very helpful owner Danielle.
I was never told there was a breakfast and the location was perfect! It’s up the road from Cavendish Beach, Boardwalk, Chez Yvonne’s, Sandspit, Grampa’s Photo Studio and a grocery store.
We loved the location - so close to the coast and dune trails, but far enough from the touristic part of Cavendish.
Our room was simple but comfortable and functional.
No complaints :)
