Such a lovely place. Right in middle of town.. staff very friendly and room extremely uncomfortable. Wifi was great. Parking was very handy, although it was tight for or largish car. Being able to walk around town so easy was great, with heaps of meal options.

I have been to Banff many times as a child and an adult.
I have been to Banff many times as a child and an adult. I have learned that early spring and autumn are best when big tourist groups are away. If you have spare time, check out Lake Louise and take the more scenic route instead of the highway; you won't regret it.

Great location in Banff right near Bear Street which has great bars, cafes and restaurants. Still an easy walk to the main drag, but you don't need to go anywhere else. If you've hired a rental car, it's an easy exit off the Trans Canada Highway, a short drive to Lynx Street and parking is right under the hotel. Laundry facilities downstairs which is handy if you've been on the road for a while! We ended paying to upgrade our initial booking to a loft room with bigger windows and a view. (see comments below)
The location was good. Additionally the hotel provided us with free bus passes to be used to go to Banff downtown. The parking is difficult to get at downtown & it costs hourly CAD 5. So getting free bus passes for full 4 days for my entire family & friends group was great!
First: Banff is beautiful, but pricey location. This accommodation belongs among the cheapest (except hostels).
If you select such affordable price in Banff you cannot expect the level of 3* hotel. You get what you paid for.
Overall the stay was good.
The location of the hotel is very convenient. We also received free bus tickets to travel within Banff. Room was clean and well equipped. Nice restaurant in adjacent hotel for which 15% was given to the guests of the hotel. Very convenient parking.
The hotel was in a fantastic location. I particularly liked the log fire in the lobby. We sat there enjoying a coffee after a day at Lake Louise and Banff Gondola.
