There is one thing I would like to mention especially.
I asked the host to prepare a small cake for my wife's birthday and they gave us a surprise birthday party with flowers and decorations.
It was so impressive for my wife and all my family to have this kind of congraturations on the vacation travel.

The sites in Nobres are really beautiful and wildlife is abundant (especially macaws, fish, and toucans). Great alternative to Bonito (another must visit site) if you want to experience in combination with the Northern Pantanal. It is also a closer drive to Cuiaba than Bonito is from Campo Grande. Prepare to drive on some fairly bad dirt roads during your stay.
