Given the suggestions we got from Letícia on the best route to take to get there and the welcoming we got from Otávio, the communication was overall great. Caraíva is a magical place with a wonderful history and indigenous village that should be preserved. For the price of accommodation the entrepreneurs must create an association to improve the sanitary and recycling aspects. Restaurants are really expensive. The nature is amazing.

Caraíva is a tiny paradise in Bahia, for who like the nature will love Caraíva. The people here are lovely and the restaurants are amazing, for a good price. And the best thing that I recommend, Caraíva´s forró is the best one in the district of Porto Seguro!
Great location, next to the Caraíva River and a few steps to the beach. Also very close to restaurants, bars, gift shops. There's a mini-market right next to the hotel. Breakfast is perfect, delicious - a good variety of foods is available (tapiocas, breads, scrambled eggs, omelets, fresh juices, etc). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and very spacious, so is the bathroom.
Do Satu Beachclub was fantastic. Cabin with amazing views, simple but good. All you need with jungle feel. The family behind it, the staff, the beach all fantastic. Very good food, cocktails and service. Music was insane! DJ and live singing. Visit after you have settled a bit and adjusted to the Bahian vibe! Would love to tweak the place a little to barefoot chic luxury.
