Hotel was excellent, had a mall at walkable distance with lot of restaurants. Also have lot of boutiques near by. Overall my experience was memorable and love to visit and stay at the same place again.

But check out Pomerode nearby as it is a smaller place and- I unfortunately only traveled through by bus.

It's a charming city, easy to get around by foot if you stay nearby the XV de Novembro st. There are some museums, which cost R$5 to visit (some are for free) where you can spend half a day to see it all.
Blumenau is very prepared to receive tourists during Oktoberfest. There are chemical toilets and garbage cans everywhere so the streets keep its cleansing all the time. The event itself is pretty fun and there are people from everywhere during it.

German culture! Brazilian environment! Great food, interesting city layout, cool little museums scattered through town, and of course the city has Oktoberfest, Winter market, and a bunch of other special occasions which make use of their fantastic downtown fairground.

Not for tourists except during Octoberfest. Hard to get around without a car. Restaurants closed during the afternoon. One day is long enough to see the historic district and the lovely museums. Suggest Pomerode is the preferred city to visit for a true taste of German culture and history .
Hotel was brand new in a cosy style. The closeness to the nature was wonderful with a trail inn to the jungle just behind the hotel. Swimmingpool and outdoor are was nice and relaxant. Breakfast was very varied with god option for people with gluten or lactose problems. Big free car parking was also a plus for us.
Just the best location for the best price, walking distance from the Oktoberfest park, no need to drink and drive) very clean! Thanks to all the staff, didn’t have any problems
