Excellent location for diving with own house reef for shore diving and lots of options for boat diving. The diving facilities are first rate. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly. The on-site restaurant, Rum Runners, is also an excellent venue for breakfast and dinner.

Easy one night stay - great spot right on the main Street. Easy access to everything. Really nice manager who checked us in and was easy to reach for any questions.
Good AC in the room, which is important when you are new to the island and the heat feels oppressive 😬.

Valetta and her team were wonderful hosts. She even organized an early check in for me at the next property in the island. The place was a great value for Bonaire standards. You will read negative reviews, but please lower your expectations of this basic hotel and you'll be a lot happier with what you get for your money here. Yes, the beds are old, but we slept soundly for 2 nights. The place must have been great at one point, but the location is still central and walking distance to many spots. And no, there was no loud noise from the restaurant, they close well before you go to sleep.
Colorful, unpretentious, and fun, the Divi Flamingo Beach Resort and Casino is the perfect base for vacationers drawn to the sleepy island of Bonaire and world-class Caribbean scuba diving.

Kralendijk, which is the capital town of the small island of Bonaire, and the island itself is a very scenic and peaceful getaway, perfect for couples and people looking for spicing things up with a bit of an adventure.
We stayed for 11 days which initially seemed as too much, but once we got ourselves there, it turned out it wasn't enough.
Things that you can do in the water, for which there are perfect conditions: snorkeling, diving, water surfing...
Activities which I recommend doing are (in order of preference): doing a tour of the Washington Slagbaai National Park, doing the Mangrove Forest Kayak tour and visiting the Donkey Paradise.
In terms of the beach experiences... If you are a fan of a (sort-of) a private beach experience I recommend the beaches Andrea 1, 2 and 3 and also the Lac Cai beach which is located after the mangrove forest (but for the latter, be mindful that the dirt road is quite bumpy to get there).
The Sorobon beach is great for wind surfing, and while visiting the national park you will find a couple of secluded, untouched beaches which will blow your mind.
Can't really comment on the diving part as I wasn't brave enough to try it this time...
We also liked the food on Bonaire, though be mindful that restaurant rush hours are between 7 to 9 pm and afterwards it's mostly ghost town, in contrast to Aruba (where I've been) where restaurant peak hours are after 9 pm, something which is probably also the case for most of the other Caribbean islands (though I cannot say for sure, as I've only visited Aruba and Bonaire for now).
Our favorite restaurants were (in order of preference): Yhanni's Arepas, Carlitos, Mezze, It Rains Fishes and La Cantina.
All in all, me and my girlfriend loved Bonaire, and we are actually thinking of going back soon!

It is a nice little city with lovely restaurants and great grocery stores. We found nice shops and fun places to have cocktails by the sea. Luciano's is right across the street from the sea and has wonderful gelato! We had amazing meals at Capriccio (which has a sea view), and C"est La Vie. Bon Tapa has delicious food and and really tasty fresh made sangria. Mona Lisa also served delicious food, but is quite pricey. We love El Pascado for a more budget friendly meal, and Rumba has really great pizza.
The shore diving in Bonaire is really great! We went with Dive Friends for tank rentals a they have multiple locations to pick up and drop off tanks. Some of our favorite dive sites this time were, Torre's reef, Red Slave, Tolo, and Pink beach. All of these also have good snorkeling.
It's definitely busier in town when the cruise ships are in , but they are mostly gone by 5pm. Also, there is a schedule of when and which dock they will arrive at in the local newspaper.

Nice town, always felt safe. Very friendly overall.
Nice town, always felt safe. Very friendly overall. Expensive, but this is to be expected on an island where everything is imported. Cruise ship "tourons" overwhelm downtown during the day when boats are in. Great eating options.

Everything in walking distsnce. We ate at the Trocadero and the Club Boulevard. Fantastic. The service at the Club B was outstanding. David the person serving our table is his weight in gold worth for every restaurant owner. The food fantastic. Also for me as vegetarian. Price vs quality very very good.

Bring your own wash clothes, I felt not fully cleaned.
Bring your own wash clothes, I felt not fully cleaned. You will need a taxi because there is nothing to do but beach in the area. The room 4 I was in was right by the lobby and it was noisy, at night they only serve pizza and it was not good. I would stay closer to the downtown area if I went again because you can walk and do things. The only good thing is if your looking to do nothing, this is the place to stay. My room was supposed to be a deluxe but it wasn't. It was like a dorm room. I couldn't open window because of bugs flying in.
