Hostal Margaritas Torotoro, hotel in Torotoro

Hostal Margaritas Torotoro has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Torotoro.

Stayed in the dorm. Beds were comfortable (no bunk beds!) and the room was spacious. There was a kitchen for guests to use and a nice seating area with a little library! Other guests very friendly (although mostly French speakers… I think due to the owner being Swiss French).

The atmosphere and the personality of the owner couple Sra.Griselda and Sr.Gualberto. They are very respectful, welcoming and very flexible to make my stay fulfilling. During my short stay, I had opportunity to be shared their thoughts and perspectives of Bolivia and it helps me to understand much better about this country. And Sra. Griselda tried to bring freshly made egg for the breakfast, Sr. Gualberto woke up super early in the morning for my request, simple but yumm bread is from neighbor, I like these little (well… actually not little) but warm spices that made me feel como en mi casa :)

    Torotoro is awesome.

Torotoro is awesome. Getting to see real dinosaur tracks in the wild was epic. The landscape is also phenomenal. All tours are in Spanish so if you speak any other language be prepared to just enjoy the scenery and read up about it later. I would highly recommend it! If you are claustrophobic skip the caving experience. I’m not claustrophobic but it scared the crap out of me. Planking my way through a 60cm gap and rappelling down slippery rock surfaces in the dark (with a headlamp) where if you let go of the rope you’ll fall into a deep crevasse was beyond my level of comfort. Also note, if you are afraid of heights you may struggle with the canyon hike but I loved it!
