I stayed at the Capital Residence Suites Hotel for 3 nights and I have to say it was really good.
It is in a really nice, quiet location, although the whole city is super peaceful and quiet.
It is about a 10-minute walk to the center and a shopping center.
From there you can also take a ferry to Kampong Ayer.
There is a KFC, supermarket, souvenir shops, etc.
All the important sights are also within easy walking distance.
But don't be surprised, nobody walks. I was the only one. But whatever.
There is a great pick-up service from the airport, which is brilliant. And they also take you back to the airport. Great service.
There was also breakfast, but I never enjoyed it. I can't say anything about that.
I always leave early. WiFi was stable and fast, so you could work.
The staff takes care of everything. You can also book tours and the like if you need to go somewhere. Otherwise just use the taxi app DART, it works great and the drivers are all so nice.
I think there is also public transport, but it is probably not used much.
In any case, if you ever find yourself in Brunei, book a few days at the Capital Residence Suites, you won't be disappointed.
