We loved the hotel, spa area, pool and massage ( lady was amazing ) . I would like to send special thanks to our guest relations lady who was so nice to make this stay so special ( as it was a birthday gift ). They prepared the room, have free spa entrance, also we received a cake on the day of the anniversary. So we truly recommend this experience. And we do suggest the apartment. Really wonderful city, nothing to envy from cities of north...
Really wonderful city, nothing to envy from cities of north Italy (etc. Bergamo) and Western Europe. Clean streets, wonderful old city combining ancient (Roman) with ottoman culture, nice people. Only drawback the lack of pet friendly shops, as most of the shops, cafe and bars didn't allow our small dog (and thus us) inside which is a major issue during Christmas period.

A wonderful city with so much history, the old town is beautiful with its lovely traditional Bulgarian Revival style houses, many with art galleries inside. Beautiful arts and crafts. There was music everywhere, people playing traditional musical instruments, Orthodox Church chants, and a nearby music school. Magnificent Roman ruins, the ancient Theatre, and a mosque, a wonderful blend of cultures. Wonderful views from the hills and Nebet Tepe is a great place to watch the sunset. A must see! Definitely worth a visit.

However city is a gem. excellent Roman era remains. Not so much on other times especially the communist era (apart from the statue) but museums OK and entrance fees fair.
Food is plentiful and universally good especially the portions.
Nightlife great at weekends but rest of time quiet.
Completely safe in town center and no hassle for us.

the city has a lot of history to it and most of it is well presented and preserved. the older part of the center has been restored and most buildings look very good. the restoration was done with taste and respect to the original architecture.
in and around Plovdiv you can find many other attractions except for the center.
it was pricier than expected, or when compared to other Bulgarian towns (Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, etc.).

Excellent staff - very hard working, very friendly. Room was really clean, and location was excellent. They offered a special breakfast of a variety of toast toppings (e.g. egg with truffle, goose pate with peach) that was lovely, but option to have the standard breakfast as well. Parking is nearby and free. Hotel is situated right in the middle of the old town, so a fantastic location.
The property is to a very very high standard for Bulgaria. My son was so happy with the choice - I doubt that any other hotel would have achieved the same. Very close to city centre, rail station and the old town.
SOHO Apart House is an absolute gem in Plovdiv.

Great location near the old town. Breakfast was good. Be careful to read the booking message carefully and to ask for parking in advance. But you can also park on a street near the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
