This seemed to me a good "business" hotel with modern facilities right in the center of the "new town." A group of soldiers was also staying there. That gave me a sense that the hotel was solid and professionally run.
The manager (Petya) was very helpful to me in helping me plan my next train journeys, even looking up the times on the computer screen at the reception desk. That was very much appreciated. Her English was good.
The room was large and clean with good facilities. WiFi was good.

I think every Bulgarian must visit the Museum of Vasil Levski - it is kind of mandatory, we are obliged as descendants of those brave men.
The other place that charmed us was a restaurant called "Едно време" (Once Upon a Time). It has a great atmosphere and service, and the cuisine is delicious.

As the birthplace of Vasil Levski, Karlovo is obviously full of history - this is where Levski and many another 'awakener' who launched the Bulgarian independence movement in the 19th century came from. The Levski Museum and the National History Museum Karlovo are both well worth visiting - as are the other buildings relating to the Bulgarian enlightenment. And if Bulgarian history isn't your thing, Karlovo is also the starting point for some mighty hikes in the Balkan - most notably up to Botev Peak. It's also just a very nice town in which to spend a couple of days (and easy to reach from Sofia).

We are extremely satisfied with our stay. The hosts were very hospitable. We received professional treatment from them and attention to every detail. It was a very pleasant surprise that in such a small town as Karlovo, there is such a beautiful and stylish apartment with professional service. I usually don’t leave recommendations, but in this case, I can confidently recommend this property and its hosts. I am convinced that there is no better place to stay in the region. You fully deserve the highest rating.
Very well maintained hotel, modern facilities, comfortable beds and set up, cozy restaurant with tasty food and above expectations service by friendly staff. Perfect place for family and company parties (birthday celebrations, weddings, team building sessions and etc). The large hotel free parking lot is a big advantage. Last, but not least that owners are personally dedicated and involved to provide to provide excellent service.
I forgot to ask for two seperate beds in my booking, which was my fault. But within 20 minutes they changed the beds in our room, without charging anything extra. The room itself has a very nice view on the mountains and the hotel is a good base for hikes in Central Balkan National Park.
An absolute gem of a hotel. I would give it a five star rating. The rooms I had was gorgeous, the staff went out of their way to be friendly and kind, the breakfast was excellent. Super !
