Rooms, especially bathrooms hadn't been cleaned in a while and this sucked, since I chose this hotel for the advertised cleanliness. Also, the hotel never made public the fact that it didn't have an elevator...we were given rooms on the third floor and we are in our late sixties...I asked for a lower floor (they had rooms on lower floors but they refused)...I would not recommend this hotel to my enemies !

Golden Sands is a modern resort, with beautiful and interesting buildings where the useful combines beautifully with the functional.
The natural setting is pleasant and diversified, located at the mountain and sea junction. The access roads are well maintained and can be easily reached from the city of Varna or the airport in Burgas.
The most unpleasant part is the crowding and the lack of parking spaces.

We were glad our hotel was at the end of the boulevard from Golden Sands, so it was nice and calm, no noise from partying people and loud bars or cafe's Glad I didn't book a hotel in the middle of the hustle and bustle because that would have cost us a lot of sleep.... We didn't go out for a drink of dinner because our hotel provided us with this. We just walked and looked around what was for sale in the many stalls with clothes and bags and touristic stuff you can buy abroad.

Pretty standard East European seaside resort. Beach filled with cigarette butts, with dirty umbrellas and beach furniture. A lot of shops eith overpriced items, and restauranta with mostly overpriced foods. Some kids attractions that might be interesting for them for a few days.

The hotel was well located, at the centre of Golden Sands, near the beach and other facilities. Our children really enjoyed the pools and the aquapark. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Marianna at the reception and Alex at the entertainment, as well as a cleaning lady from Odessa, Ukraine on the 1st (3rd) floor. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was very good, with a large variety and fine hygiene. The hotel recommended a taxi driver and a rent-a-car company, who both met our expectations.
The apartment C-308 is perfect for a short stay in Golden Sands - located in first line of hotels on the promenade (right in the center) is close to everything - beach, restaurants, shops, etc. Reasonably well equipped, having also parking lots available for 20BGN/night in the complex, the one-bedroom apartment can accommodate up to 4 adults. You can even admire the sunrise from the large terrace :).
What a hidden gem!! Had a wonderful stay! The hotel is near the beautiful bulgarian beach, food was great, I especially enjoyed the yummy breakfast. The staff was really kind and helpful, gave me some great tips for activities to do around. Will recommend and visit again for sufe. Thank you, palma hotel for the wonderful stay!
A very nice, elegant, and clean one-bedroom apartment. The host was extremely nice and gave us all the information needed for a quick accommodation at Golden Sands. We had bad luck with the weather, so the very cozy apartment helped a lot to make our stay very comfortable.
The employees were very friendly and professional.
We were impressed by the Bulgarian a la carte restaurant. The dishes were delicious, we consider to be a must try.
