The host is very welcoming and helpful, he helped with luggage, dedicated place for the bicycle and shared his private refrigerator. In the corridor where are all the rooms on the second floor there was a nice gesture - tea, coffee, biscuits and some dishes (cups, plates, cutlery, electric kettle), I found it very sweet. The building itself is in the city center, it's 100 meters from museums and two churches.

The staff were amazing! We were visiting with two small children, one of them a baby, we had some special needs for them, and they assisted us immediately with anything we asked for. The villas are nice and the place is very beautiful.

Batak was quiet on the Saturday afternoon when we arrived. As if time had stopped. The old historical church is an absolute must-see, stops your breath and gives you goosebumps. The two Batak museums are close by. You can buy a ticket for all three sights in the Batak Historical Museum for 4 lvs (approx. 2 EUR). There are several cafes across the town and small restaurants to eat at. The Batak Reservoir is a 10min drive away. Make sure to either climb up, or drive, to the monument on the hilltop in Batak for a panoramic view of the town.

It's an amazing historical location with a great option of also combine the trip by going to the Batak lake. The town itself is fairly small, so it's very quiet and peaceful. Prices on things around are lower overall.
