A one night stop-over as we drove East it was fine so can't comment as to whether it would make a nice place to stay for more days. The large public car park just outside was fine but became busy in the morning and the road takes some heavy traffic. Room was large and comfortable, good-sized well equipped bathroom. Managers were friendly and spoke English :)
We had expected restaurant service but was notified shortly before arrival that this would be a set meal (choice of two main dishes) only. Happily the food was very good, albeit charged at "restaurant" prices ... but then we don't travel very often in Belgium.

We did not have the breakfast. The location was FANTASTIC. We walked out the hotel doors and we were in the middle of the Grand Place of Mons. There was plenty of restaurants, shops & bars around the area to choose from to enjoy the day or evening just people watching.
Le Monte Cristo is located only 2.5 mi from the Grand Place in Mons and features free wireless internet. This intimate hotel offers rooms with cable TV and a mini-bar.
