We stayed for one night in this family-owned cosy hotel, that we chose mainly because it had a swimming pool for the children. We got a huge, clean, nice family room (with 4 single beds you can move around as needed) and immediate access to the swimming pool, which was top notch (especially after driving in the August heatwave!). At night there was not a single noise, we could really relax and we all slept well.
The shower room was fantastic and had been recently renovated by the looks of it. There are several restaurants in the area, and Turnhout is a short drive away.
The owner is super friendly and accommodating, and we also liked the breakfast (freshly baked bread and croissants from the local bakery!) Overall a great experience at a very competitive price.

We didn't just stay in the place for the night. We walked to Brussels to see the infamous statue of the peeing boy. We also looked at the guild buildings in the square, the chocolate shops. The chocolate museum disappointed us, it doesn't look like a museum.
And we were lucky to get a table for two at Mimi's restaurant. There is not even a kilometer from our place for the night. A wonderful impression of the furniture, the arrangement, the design so to speak of the tablecloths and napkins even, and the dinner is prepared with love and served with a smile. The owner is very smart and a good manager of staff.
