There are good walking paths around in the woods. Also a beautiful lake with restaurant and swimming is close by. Neufchateau itself is not big, and we did not go inside the town itself, as we only stayed 1 night.

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We booked the hotel to break our journey to Germany from the UK. The breakfast buffet was OK, perhaps overrated by some previous guests. Coffee from the machine could be better. Overall, it worked for us.
The guy at the desk was very nice and helpful. The room was nice and quite large plus the second level with tree beds - Ideal for families with children. Location, the hotel is next to a nice lake with places for fishing. Value for money.
