The area of Ittre has a lot of green places with horses and cows. It's close to Brussels and Waterloo as well as other places where you can visit museums, etc... The town of Ittre itself seems quite small but has a shop, pizza place, etc..., so probably everything one needs. I'm not sure how it is in the winter, but in the summer, it's lush and beautiful around the farm roads - yet always a close drive to a city.

The hotel is in a very pretty village. There's forest everywhere, and since I visited in October the colours of the changing trees were amazing. I wish I had more time to walk around the countryside and not be in Brussels the entire day during my stay. The hotel itself is well kept, Patricia is a very responsive host. The bed is comfortable and you get a good night's sleep. All in all, it's a relaxing place for an active short holiday.
