The room internally is more like a hotel room room than a hostel room. Compared to the shit I get in Zagreb for the same price, this was very good quality in Velika Kladusa in Bosnia. Bosnians invest in their properties and don't rip tourists off. I will return to Bosnia for sure in Sarajevo and Neum in 2023, maybe Velika Kladusa again some day if I am in that area again. This was my first impression of Bosnia too, and I noticed the same in Bihac, ok price, and good quality, clear that these people actually invest in their business and don't see tourists purely as cash cows, but respect their guests, they have good toilets with decent tiles and good flooring, a boiler that heats the toilet as it emits energy, shower is ok and clean, no holes(hostels in other countries often have shower issues). In this case Mornar Hostel gives guests modern private showers, newly installed. The best thing about such places in Bosnia is not being just another tourist, you get something for your money, value and helpfulness. The bed was huge. I am not joking, it was like a 4 star hotel compared to the hostel in Zagreb and for the same price as Zagreb too I got a lot more quality in Velika Kladusa. The only disappointment was being there on a Thursday so night was over by midnight. Mornar also had a pub and cafe and a pool table, again compared to the shit in Zagreb where overrated 3 star hostels do below the minimum and only have a coffee machine...the one in Velika Kladusa was basically like a casual business hotel with some Balkan friendliness with a late bar by countryside standards and early coffee service..Hostel Mornar is better than any hostel or guesthouse I have stayed in in Poland, Croatia, Austria or Czech Republic..indeed it is much better than many 3 star hotels in Europe, not joking, I've been around..I would consider it more like a respectable casual hotel than a hostel.
