Everything. Its the second time me and my wife choose this hotel, because of great hospitality. Especially Ülvi, Türkan xanım helped us a lot. We want to send our best regards to hotel owner Shamil bey as well. He is one of the greatest hotel owners I have ever met. Keep up the good work.

Ganja is a lovely city to visit as it feels a little off the tourist trail. There are some great public plazas to visit and also the Mausoleum is beautiful. We loved feeling like 'a local' here and indulging in great street food as well as economical family restaurants - the food was really fabulous. There are also great budget shopping strips and malls here. We travelled via Bolt everywhere and found that to be very easy and affordable. All in all I'm happy we visited this city, but if you are short on time there are more interesting places to visit.

Ganja is a wonderful city full of history.

Ganja is a wonderful city full of history. Even thought the city was reconstructed in another place during history still it has a lot of historical places to visit. You can find lots places to eath with your family and friends. For national cuisine we visited Shah Palace restaurant several times on different trips. You can find Europen cuisine as well. Getting to Ganja is easy, that takes 4 hours from Baku. The roads are comfortable, except for about 30-40kms on the return way, that are a bit bumpy.

A 4000 years old Ganja is a great connection from modern times to history. There's a still a certain charm of rural life in the area. Along with contemporary malls and coffee shops you can hang out in old style "chaykhana" -tea houses, particularly located in the Central Park- Khan Bagi- Khan's Garden. Make sure you try Ganja "pakhlava", a bigger portion than regular Azerbaijani pakhlava, and green "kata" that is made with local herbs and fresh butter. Order your tea from local herbs and calm the day away people watching.

As described in the Lonely Planet guidebook, there were plenty of historical sites to see, as well as several good restaurants and cafes. In addition, the train there from Baku was an efficient way of visiting.

First of all, I should mention that after Baku, Ganja is one of the most historical and beautiful cities of Azerbaijan. If Baku is the capital of eastern Azerbaijan, Ganja is the capital of western Azerbaijan. Ganja is the city of the world-famous Azerbaijani Nizami Ganjavi, if you happen to be in Ganja, be sure to visit his mausoleum. Ganja is a very safe, clean, historical and delicious city. If you go to Ganja, you must eat Ganja dovga, Ganja baklava (pakhlava) and Ganja cream (qaymaq). Prices are very cheap compared to Baku. From Ganja go to Goy Gole and Togana forests. In Ganja you must see the beautiful Park of Sycamore Trees, Shah Abbas Mosque and Bath Complex and Sabir Street. Ganja is a very multicultural city. Jews, Muslims, Sunni and Shia Muslims have friendly residents living in peace. In conclusion, let me note that Azerbaijan is a secular, multi-ethnic and tolerant country. Visit once rather than hear 100 times.
