This is a really cute little boutique hotel. Very welcoming. The outdoor common spaces are designed well and great for gathering for coffee in the morning drinks in the evening or playing cards. The breakfast was excellent and you could order off the menu. Staff was very accommodating. When we asked for extra pillows, they brought us new ones.
The rooms are small but had everything we needed in them. It’s not on the beach and that’s really the only negative.
However, we found out that at Surfside beach, which was within walking distance they had day passes. You could get chairs and an umbrella for 12.50 a person.

The location was a 2 minute walk from the airport. Very convenient if coming in on a late flight. No taxi required! Of course, that means that it's a $40 taxi ride to Palm Beach, or $24 taxi ride to Oranjestad.

Overall property is very nice. The restaurant outdoor seating area is lovely and across the parking lot from the hotel rooms. The room we had was a suite - two bedrooms, bath, common seating/TV area, and kitchen with counter top island. Very spacious, clean, stocked with everything you need. Ours had walk-out access to the pool with two chairs and small table just outside the sliding door. Pool area was lovely and always had enough seating for all that were there. Beach towels are provided by the facility and changed out upon request. There really is not much more we could have asked for. It was the perfect lodging for our family of five.

Exceptional staff that made me feel welcomed and safe. The property owner, Edmond, was always available and even checked in on me when I was sick. Edmond, his team, and their hospitality were the highlight of my trip. Aruba was a very welcoming country and I always felt like they were happy to have us tourists visit.
The hotel also has a taxi service to pick you up from the airport.
The room was modern and had a/c and Netflix at no additional charge. It was also very clean and seemed brand new.
Location was downtown and just steps away from my favorite stores— Zara and Mango, and the popular Renaissance mall was just 2-3 minutes walking distance.
The local bus is very easy to use about a 7 min walk from the hotel. He bus will take you to the hotel strip (just ask the driver to make sure you’re on the right one).
Overall, I highly recommend staying at this hotel and as a solo female traveler I feel truly grateful and lucky to have found such a gem!

I really enjoyed staying here. My partner and I coordinated with a friend from afar to stay here as a first time visit. We knew nothing of the property and were pleasantly surprised with our visit. The owner couple were friendly and helpful with everything from restaurant recommendations, beach recommendations, food market recommendations, taking care of personal needs, nuances to island activities and so much more. The property is absolutely inspiring with a very nice swimming pool, colorful room decor, and bright and warmly painted exterior walls throughout. Be sure to check out the story of the namesake if you don’t already know it. The layout of the rooms are not cookie cutter so don’t be shy to ask and state your needs. Our room, lavender by name, was large and had in-room shower and toilet. The room was spacious and space for our luggage and a nice refrigerator. I am a tall guy and I had plenty more than elbow room to feel comfortable in the room. One of the most unique features of the B&B was the common dining space which is covered and outdoors. You can eat in a group or find a private space to eat. Cooking and refrigerator facilities are available adjacent to the eating area with nearby grocery shopping available. We were lucky to meet new friends and cooked meals together with some nice dining and wine moments making new memories. As you can see from my photos there are lots of flowering plants around the property which confirm the tropical environment. Also the property is at a nice elevation in the area to capture the tropical breezes throughout and cool down from the heat of a sunny day all day long. We had one evening of rain which was not wasted with friends in the covered dining area, so no fun lost. There are some rules and norms to follow which are guided by island resource sustainability and conservation. You will need to understand your transportation while staying here.

The local restaurants of downtown Oranjestad were excellent with reasonable prices relative to the NY/NJ area. These restaurants were a quick (10-15 mins) and safe walk from the Renaissance Wind Creek marina property. Among the best restaurants on Wilhelminastraat: Yemanja Woodfired Grill; Restaurant Anno 1877; Wilhelmina Restaurant; Taste My Aruba; El Gaucho. Caya was an amazing restaurant in the Palm Beach section a short cab ride ($15) from the Wind Creek marina. It's easy to access some good shopping in the marina resort and directly behind the property.

Oranjestad is central there are many things to do from there. Close to the airport, shopping area, the beach if you don't mind walking. It's not quite like the tourist area but it has its own flair. 1 bus ride can take you into that hustle and bustle then return to a more lighter side of vibes.

Oranjestad has a few nice areas for visitors with restaurants, bars and shopping. The water is spectacular! It's easy to get around by taxi or bus. Aruba is very breezy and the sun is hot - so lots of high quality sunscreen is a necessity along with a secure hat. We enjoyed happy hour and small plates at Cuba's Cookin' in the Renaissance Marketplace - try the mojitos!

Most visitors are from the cruise ships, and spend a day here. We enjoyed & days of which 3 days were snorkeling on 3 different beaches (more and we would have been roasted by the sun). The town, and especially the museum is very interesting - very Dutch.
We didn't do much shopping, there didn't seem much (apart for Dutch food in the supermarket) that we couldn't have bought anywhere. Lots of kitchy souvenirs near the cruise terminal. If you like fresh fish, it is well worth taking the bus (or driving) to the "fish market" at Spanish Cove. It is just a couple of sheds on the waterfront where the fish are landed and sold by local small-scale fishermen, who will also clean and fillet for you.

I enjoyed staying right in Oranjestad because I had many options for dining out in the evening. I rented a car so I was able to go to either side of the island pretty easily from there. The Arubus station is right there so I think it would be fairly easy to take that up to Eagle beach if one didn't want to rent a car. I was in town for part of Carnival so it was fun to watch that also.
My photos are of Eagle Beach, Tres Trapi, and Baby Beach. Oranjestad restaurants: Pastechi House, Lucy's - mahi sandwich, West Deck - fish/shrimp, and Dutch Pancake House - Dutch Pancake.

Everything was perfect and the hotel was a great base for our wonderful vacation. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was delicious, everything was clean and so on. The hotel offers also lots of free benefits e.g. a beach shuttle and chairs for the beach.
The hotel grounds are beautiful and well kept. The apartments are comfortable and clean. Owners very friendly and attentive and easy to reach via Whatsapp should you need anything. Supermarket 5 min walk away.
I loved Renaissance island, it so so nice and very easy to get there.
Also I loved the pillows in the room. The best I've ever slept on.
The hotel stuff were also very nice and helpful
We were very well treated by Stanley and Samuel, and were surprised by how cute the building was. Very recommended for those who want to have an authentic experience in Oranjestad!
