Chambers Wildlife Rainforest Lodges, hotel in Yungaburra

Chambers Wildlife Rainforest Lodges offers private lodges with a covered veranda, 32-inch LCD TV and full kitchen.

Unfortunately I was travelling for work and had a job in Yungaburra, so really just booked this as a place not far from town and which sounded pleasant. I didn't get in till 5pm and had to leave again before dawn, but saw enough to be very impressed. The Reception lady was lovely, the apartment clean, well-appointed and warm for the time of year I visited. What most impressed me, and one of my jobs is filming wildlife and landscapes for a living, was the sound as I left the room in the morning surrounded by rainforest. Forget the room, you would pay the money to just sit listening to the incredible cacophany of native birds echoing through the bush. I wish I could post the phone video here. Had 5 minutes before I had to leave for work, but I'll be back with my wife for that reason alone.

We were heading home from holidays and only needed one night before travelling home the next day. We found the Kookaburra Motel by accident and so happy we did. As we had limited time we didn't really get to have a full monty experience with the Kookaburra. but we will be going back again and to stay at least two nights.

Youngaburra is a charming village near Lake Tinaroo. A nice place to wander and quite a few places to eat. The local pub is the 2nd largest wooden pub in Queensland. The people are friendly and the temperature is mild.

We arrived the day of the markets and enjoyed the morning there where we purchased local produce and hand made crafts. We walked along the creek in the afternoon on our way into town and got to see platypus in the creek and the amazing bird life. The town offers several dinning options and we chose to go to Nicks for a pizza and a beer at sunset. Just a lovely break.

The best accomodation we have ever stayed in, would highly recommend! Our Eden House cabins were lavishly appointed and an absolute delight to stay in. Almost self contained, they had thought of everything. They were perfectly situated in a tropical garden away from the road. Very quiet, yet virtually in the middle of the beautiful village of Yungaburra. One minute away from the centre with all its quaint shops and attractions. And a few minutes from the amazing Petersen Creek Walking Trail. We look forward to staying at Eden House again!

It was beautifully clean and comfortable. The position was quiet with no street noise. Town Center was at the end of the street- walked to the local hotel and shops, with ease. A week stay was no problem. The gardens were lush with bird life visiting. The owners were friendly and accommodating of our requests.

Blue Summit was the cleanest and prettiest smelling place we have ever stayed. Modern villa, fluffy towels, big spa, peaceful view of parkland, everything one would need and huge amount of space right in the heart of Yungaburra. We are already planning our next trip.
