Villa Mar Colina, hotel in Yeppoon

Villa Mar Colina offer Mediterranean-style villas with views of the Keppel Bay Islands. Located 492 feet from the restaurants and shops in Yeppoon’s town center, it includes free satellite TV.

I really enjoyed my stay in the 2-bedroom apartment at Villa Mar Colina. The remote check-in went smoothly, and so did the key drop-off when checking out. The villa was very clean, quiet, and incredibly spacious. I really enjoyed the feeling of being in a full-sized townhouse, despite not needing the second bedroom. The balcony was huge and really stunning. It faced directly onto the ocean. I spent the nights lying on the banana lounge enjoying the cool ocean breeze, and looking up at the stars. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was great, the water pressure in the main bathroom allowed for a great shower, and I had access to Prime on TV. There is a lovely cafe called Flour around the corner where I had a beautiful breakfast. There is also a plunge pool on the property, although my schedule was too busy to use it. The Villa is at the top of a very steep, large hill, and access even on-site involved walking up a sloped driveway and stairs. I found walking along the sea-front fencing, on the grass, to get up and down the hill, was easier than walking up the road or footpath. In the heat, the pedestrian access is quite challenging, but the views are really worth it. Get a taxi to and from the property if you can.

That my grandchildren live in Yeppoon :) So it was a wonderful position for us to meet at each others houses and walk to the beach. The town is full of great coffee shops and places to eat. Great Keppel is a wonderful outing, and the lagoon an amazing place for families.

Yeppoon is a relaxing place to visit for a long weekend.

Yeppoon is a relaxing place to visit for a long weekend. There are enough shops, eateries, cafes, restaurants to make it a pleasant stay without being over the top. The atmosphere is relaxed, the locals are friendly, and it still feels like a peaceful costal township.

Nice little village atmosphere with plenty of restaurants and eating places. The water front had plenty to offer for younger children in the Keppel Krakken water park. The Rocks public pool area was outstanding!! Plenty of local shopping choices. The Cathederal Caves 30 minutes north of Rockhampton is an experience to not miss!!

We booked this last minute and we found the price affordable even during the holiday season. The unit was modern, clean and has everything you need while being away. It’s straight across the road from the beach, a coffee shop just down the road and a quick drive to Yeppoon’s main centre. It was easy to check in and out of
