Wangaratta is a great place to stay and explore the beautiful Northern Victorian towns nearby, would highly recommend staying there. Eat at the Railway Hotel, good value, tasty meal with ice cold beer.

Wangaratta is large enough (about 30,000 people) to have high order services and facilities, but still has country town feel.
Central in the wine regions of King Valley, Alpine region, Milawa and Rutherglen, which are all within easy and pleasant drive away, Wangaratta is a clever spot for the wine aficionado to base themselves for a few days.

We came to Wangaratta earlier this year and had a wonderful stay and as we always go to Historic Winton I thought we might look foe accomodation here.
The motel was well located and we were happy with the unit but it was terribly cold. I know that it always is for that weekend in late May and that is why i popped some travel rugs into the car.
There is a lot to see and do in and around Wangaratta and some fabulous places to eat

We stayed overnight on our way to South Gippsland. We needed to stop and rest, we also had our small dog which was very appreciative being allowed to stay. Have never stayed in Wangaratta before, it was very nice, close to shops and a beautiful park. Will stay again.

Management were so helpful / when I couldn’t get through for long enough on mob or on line / they called me. On arrival warm and friendly & helpful. Room beautifully clean, comfy king bed. Milk / coffee / microwave/ kettle / fridge / air on etc. Would / will return. Also a fabulous restaurant across from Park View Motor Inn. Finished my leftovers when I got back to Melbourne! Such a pretty country town Wangaratta! 🙏🏻🌹🙏🏻🌹And walking distance to railway station.
A nice basic hotel. It would help if some attention was put to basics. Blankets could do with a wash. Plumbing needs to be fixed, everything leaked.. Check if the previous occupant left glasses clean. Not an easy feat over leaking shallow handbasin, with limited amenities.
But for basic motel for family on a budget, nothing bad to say..
Our adult children laughed and said this is just where we stayed as kids.. 😂
'Who cares if it has a great shower and a nice bed'
The lady at reception was so lovely.
The accommodation is clean and comfortable. The motel is older, however everything was clean, working and comfortable.
Also dog friendly, which is awesome 🐾
The location is also really good, you can walk to anywhere.
If I'm ever in Wangaratta again I'll be staying here for sure! 🙌🏻
Good sized room, clean and well-appointed. The pool was very well heated - our kid was in there at 8am on a six degree morning! There was a wedding reception at the hotel when we were staying and we were a bit worried about noise, but our room was very quiet.
Handy location close to Wangaratta train station and across the road from several dining options and a supermarket. The owners were super friendly and helpful and I couldn’t fault the rooms and it was very affordable.
