Excellent sport and top notch spa facilities, great spot for an active way to start / end the Great ocean road drive. Rooms were very spacious and clean, the staff were courteous and helpful. Views from the rooms at the upper floors are pretty spectacular looking onto sea/golf course.

It was great to have a place to go where we could take our dog with us. We have never taken him away with us before so it was an interesting experience.
The cottage is clean and has all the facilities that we needed inside. The grounds are very large ( approximately 5 acres). The bathroom was renovated and was very nice and clean . The hosts made sure the house was well stocked, providing everything one would need, such as mops, brooms, sponges, cleaning products, plastic wrap, aluminium foil, baking paper etc.
It was great not having to go out and buy these items.
We had a few issues with various items in the house ( hairdryer and tv) but they were attended to immediately. The owners, Jaqueline and Gavin, are lovely people to deal with and live on the property, so they were very responsive.
There were not many people around as the cottages are 12 minutes drive from Torquay, 10 minutes from Angelsea and 5 minute drive from the beaches, so it was very peaceful.
I liked that it is in the middle of various towns so we could choose where to go.
Kangaroos came to visit the property every night.

House was very clean and welcoming, it was fresh, with lovely decor, and had everything you could need. The pool and spa were amazing, both clean and at perfect temperature. The variety of games also a lot of fun. Walk to the beach and show was easy. Sparkling on arrival added a lovely touch. There was a really nice energy throughout the place.

Torquay does not feel as busy as some other places along the Great Ocean Road, perhaps because the shops and beaches are a little more spread out. The walk along the front (part of the Surf Coast Walk) is beautiful for a stroll or a jog. The different beaches in the area offer something for everyone.
The area seems to be super dog friendly- lots of doggos running around at the beach.
There is a bunch of great cafes and it was a bit of fun rifling through the endless racks of discounted surf clothes at the outlet stores.

The location is excellent with the beach and main shopping centre literally down the road. Next door is a service station that sells bits and pieces you may have forgotten to pack, which was handy! The pool and the jump pad were the most popular activities for our grandchildren.

The Cafes & Beaches were lovely.
The Cafes & Beaches were lovely. Don't waste time going to Squires Loft - the waitresses and food were great, however nearly a 2 hour wait for our food to be served and the manager was rude on arrival and on departure, no apology.
It was lovely to walk along the beaches and checked out the surf shops cafes and pub.

The lovely new manager upgraded our family of 2 adults and 3 grandchildren to a larger villa which was spacious, modern and clean. There's a lot of fun things for kids to do at the holiday park to keep them busy (ours are 13, 10 and 5 years) - they especially loved the pool, spa pool, sports activities and games. We loved that our villa had its own washing machine and drier. We would definitely return to stay again.
The Sands is situated in a lovely location, not far from a beautiful beach. Just like our room, the hotel is clean, spacious, light and airy. It’s just over a mile from the centre of Torquay and the many great places to eat and drink. The hotel offers some great dishes and a nice breakfast. The staff were generally friendly, polite and helpful.
Peace and quiet, the cottage had everything we needed, loved being at the end of road, even more private. Big family barbeque evening under the stars. Perfect.
Super comfortable beds. Quick drive to Torquay for a choice of restaurants and shopping.
We enjoy the pool and pool side cafe. Great location across from the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops. The hotel staff are very helpful and welcoming.
A great location and fantastic gym, spa facilities. Whole ambiance of the Hotel was very relaxing. The quality of food in the restaurants was outstanding.
