The Keith Motel is a newly renovated little gem located in the heart of Rye, with direct access to the beach across the road. The bed was comfy, the room was super clean and the service was brilliant. Stayed on a warm day and the room temperature was just right. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. My only bit of feedback is the rooms could use some sound proofing from outside noise, you coule hear the cars on the road like the windows were open.

Tootgarook is a locality not a town - there is no actual shopping area - where we stayed was a 20 minute walk to the shops and cafes in Rye. We were only three or four minutes walk to the beach, but sadly this was not a weekend of beach weather.

Hectors fish and chip shop had really nice food. The water at the beach was really clear and nice to swim in. It is very easy to get around Tootgarook either by car or walking. There are plenty of shops around.
