There are new people running this Motel and it was much cleaner than before. There are new reverse cycle air conditioners in every room and they work great. The shower was excellent, towels were new. I have stayed here 4 or 5 times and this time everything was the best that it has been.

We only stopped here on a long road trip so did not see much of the town. However there were very few good eating options - the pub was the best and it was very nice. The town is very good for an overnight stop but not sure what there is to do there otherwise.

A lovely town with great history , nice gardens , especially the Kato Lake area right in the heart of the town .
Good choices of places to eat , highly recommend Trackside Tabaret for variety, quality and value for money . Also the Chinese restaurant in the main street .
Close to The Grampians , wineries , and other nice places to explore .

easy access to the Grampians and surrounding areas , plenty of cafes for coffee and places to dine and takeaways , nice little town with friendly people . I would avoid the Diamond House Heritage Restaurant and Motor Inn ... for a start there is no restaurant , no microwave in the room and no room service

We just needed an overnight stay but found Stawell township clean and pleasant with an extraordinary number of beautiful old homes in good condition. Beautiful to see all the iron lace and different architectural buildings

Our stay was not long enough, just an overnight one on the way to our destination. The room location was peaceful, spacious and clean. Towels were very thin and no extras given.
We were lead to believe there was an on-site restaurant where we could eat Dinner and breakfast unfortunately not when we were there - it was closed

The manager was super friendly and helpful.
Pool area clean, and pool a great size.
Layout of motel complex easy to navigate.
Close proximity to KFC Maccas, and short drive to town.
Rooms.sizes were good.
Parking outside room.
There is clearly a great need in this area for a nice motel, with tourists, tradies etc locally.
We used to walk to this original corner store with our Pop every time we visited Stawell from Adelaide. He was a regular. Recently we were back in town for his funeral, and the corner store B&B was the perfect location to stay in. It bought back beautiful childhood memories 🤍
The location of this motel is excellent. Very close to Grampians lookouts (25-minute drive). Woolworths and some decent restaurants are very near to the Model. Very convenient parking in front of the room. Overall, it was a great stay.
