Great to have a motel style room that had the functionality of an apartment. Small size, with 2 bedrooms. Had bowls, cups, plates and cutlery and washing up items which was great. Air con worked well, but only required it once as the room is well insulated from weather and noise. Great to have a restaurant connected (Steak House) which you could get room service. Our steak was beautiful and only waited 15 minutes for it to be delivered fresh and hot.
Boasting free Wi-Fi and a saltwater swimming pool surrounded by landscaped gardens, Stannum Lodge Motor Inn is just 4 minutes’ drive from the Stanthorpe Heritage Museum.

We went for a garden show that was good. Stanthorpe is a beautiful town with plenty of walks and tourist attractions. The river through the middle of town has been landscaped to perfection. The info centre is very good and the staff provided all the information that we needed. This is our 4th trip to Stanthorpe with the Apple and Grape festival being the highlight

Some great cafe's and winery's. Shops galore, groceries easily accessible. Highly recommend the Christmas Farm.
Watch for opening times. A lot of places open for lunch, then close before re-opening for dinner.
The Foxy Bakery has the most delicious bread.

Plenty of accommodation, lots of places to eat, the local fruit, (especially the apples) which is fabulous. Rug-up because it's cold in the evening. Ate at the RSL on Sunday evening which has good food and a friendly atmosphere. It's easy to walk around Stanthorpe during the day, has the usual conveniences. Watch out for the road patrols (don't speed in this area).

Stanthorpe and Applethorp are a hidden gem of the great divide granite country. Fruit, wine, cheese, national parks, country friendly people, cold winters, hot summers.
Plenty of accommodation, motels, hotels, B&B's you pick to your requirements. Although I don't think you'll be staying in your accommodation room long...to much to see and do outside.
It's a photographers and food lovers dream,

Great location to base ourselves to visit Stanthorpe and the surrouding area, easy to access off the main road but very quiet at the same time at night (no road noise). Was in walking distance to town. Extremely clean and the host was very keen to ensure that our request for an early check in was accomodated for. The decor and amenities in the 2 bedroom unit were all new and very modern. Over and above what we would expect at a motel.
Eagle's Nest is in a great position overlooking Stanthorpe. Air-conditioning was very necessary during the cold conditions for our stay. The fireplace with readily available timber was great. Kitchen had all the equipment we needed (although a new non-stick frying pan wouldn't go astray). Coffee pods, tea and sugar were a lovely bonus.
Perfect location for exploring Stanthorpe with easy walking to many restaurants and the nearby creek. Comfortable rooms with nice bathrooms, warm beds and easy parking.
