Not many options in the way of evening dining.
I would suggest having breakfast/lunch out but dinners in your accommodation (as they were well overpriced for the quality).
The local gelato shop was awesome!
Beaches are picturesque!
Trial Bay Gaol is closed for maintenance until October 2024.

South West Rocks is a great spot for kids and adults alike. We love the different beach options - Trial Bay is excellent for younger kids. There are always lots of things to do with the grandkids. Sometimes the food outlets get very busy and are not always open when needed.

South West Rocks is a lovely town.
South West Rocks is a lovely town. Salt is about 5-10 minutes from the beach and offers utter serenity. If you like fishing, rivers, beach, countryside and kangaroos - this is the place for you! Could not have been more charmed.
One thing to note, it is a very popular spot and as a small town things close early (like 8pm) so make sure you arrive in time to find a spot to have dinner. Also it was very hot with lots of mossies as you’d expect so don’t forget bug spray.

The beaches are beautiful and accessible.
The beaches are beautiful and accessible. There is shade and some seating in a park overlooking Horseshoe Beach with a kiosk and toilet facilities. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of locals and visitors. Trial Bay Gaol is definitely worth a visit.

Great location. True beachfront - so close to beach, with no roads to cross was a bonus.Cabin had everything you needed for a short stay. South West Rocks is a wonderful, friendly ittle town with some close by attractions.
Travellers Palms is in a fantastic location close to the beaches, restaurants and South West Rocks Main Street. Apartment was good with adequate facilities. Ideal for a couple or family of four.
