Needed somewhere last minute for work. 41 Found was available , thank goodness! The place was clean, comfortable, but for me most importantly it was quiet. My bed and pillows were so comfortable which resulted in an amazing nights sleep . The outdoor bathtub, shower and hot tub were an absolute hit . I just wish our stay could have been longer .

Best Western Burnie - Murchison Lodge, hotel in Somerset

Located along Cam River, Best Western Burnie - Murchison Lodge offers accommodation with satellite TV and free Wi-Fi.

We decided to stay one more night because of the most comfortable sleeping experiences since the circle trip from the east coast 7 days ago and the good location to Stanley, Wynyard, Burnie’s surrounding, a qualified Chinese restaurant in Burnie CBD as well as to photo little penguins on roadside for free.

The Waterfront Wynyard, hotel in Somerset

Situated on the banks of the Inglis river, The Waterfront Wynyard offers a range of accommodation types in their motel units, all north-facing, with views across the waterfront precinct.

As a solo traveller I felt very safe in a ground floor room and I particularly liked the ceiling to floor curtains to stop all outside light and privacy.

This place has a laid back atmosphere but well run. Pets allowed is a big bonus! Far enough from town to be quiet but a short car ride to Burnie. Beach across the road. The dogs loved it. And.. The staff are nice people.

None of it was best for us denied our money back denied the option to speak to manager staff lying to us about their role positions and being told only booking.com can give us a refund. So now I will have my rights to my money I paid for a room that was not what was advertised if the venue had of been opened after we realised all of this as was late when we actually went to our room we would not of stayed at all

It is very quiet, the beds are very comfortable, and the curtains are excellent at blocking light. I slept so well that I slept in every morning! The town of Somerset and its facilities is only a 20-minute walk or 5-minute drive away. You only have to cross the road to walk beside the Cam River or along Somerset Beach.
