Staff was very pleasant and efficient. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It looked like it has been upgraded as it was like new.

Our trip was for 2 nights to visit family cousins and to see the old homes of my grandparents and great grandparents and after our visits we were disappointed as there was very little to do while we were in Singleton Town Centre.

In Q2 you should ask the question - just one night.
In Q2 you should ask the question - just one night. Be fair as I was true to my words. They will fix it up and people should get to Singleton. I loved the happy atmosphere at the RSL yesterday, so mix with my friends I met again after so many years. I miss them today...lovely people who loved my sister as I did. Sadly the idea of going further than 70 years just failed us all.

Singleton is a lovely town.
Singleton is a lovely town. I recommend visiting the Op shop. Very historical with the Hunter river running through it. The pies at the Bakery are good value. Diggers is a good place for a beer and dinner.

Appears to be a fairly prosperous rural NSW town with an economy assisted by mining operations and the long term presence of a military camp. People look to be generally more sophisticated than in other rural NSW towns

Singleton is like a blip on the highway through the Hunter Valley. It does not seem to be tourist friendly as we had difficulty, for instance, in locating a decent Chinese restaurant. Most of the places to stay are on the highway through town and the road is very busy. This is not the centre of Singleton but that is functional rather than a tourist experience.

I visited the Bowling Club which was a very pleasant place.
I visited the Bowling Club which was a very pleasant place. Great Thai food, very reasonable (as well as club classics). Had a game of lawn bowls there.
Also enjoyed breakfast at Cervos cafe in town (between John St and River) with Manfredi coffee open from 8am on a Saturday.
The Sun Dial was a surprise surrounded by large variety of rose bushes.

Extremely clean, comfortable and quiet.
The facilities were a surprise as not listed on booking.com. Huge shared kitchen with large oven, stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, everything you need. The shared living area was a large space, and we didn't see any other visitors. Great close location to Singleton.
Very very reasonable rates
The prices for the rooms have gone up dramatically. It was $99 start for a budget room and then upwards about 2 years ago,now it is $170 for a budget room and then upwards . I'm not going to be able to stay here again when a 4-star hotel up the road is for less and one in John for less as well.
