Ellie and the team at Belmore Hotel were very welcoming during my stay for work. The rooms have been renovated well whilst keeping the heritage of the hotel and the subtle music throughout the day gave a nice atmosphere.

Everything was top notch. Beds were very comfy. Milk, bread, butter, cereals, coffee, and jams were all supplied for breakfast. We have stayed here previously and will do so again. Although we did not use it, there is a giant TV in the living room; perfect for sport.

Quiet country town close to Lake Glenbawn and surrounded by horse studs. Main Street was very quiet and a lot of roadworks happening (which may have contributed to the town being "dead" and not much open up the main street on a Saturday). No major retail shops at all in town either but it does have 2 supermarkets and several takeaway options including maccas, pizza and chinese.
The Belmore Hotel is however a lovely old pub for a meal and a drink in the beer garden (and the live music was a bonus).
Lake Glenbawn is a short drive from town and looks amazing but $15 day entry for a car so we only saw what was visible from the drive out.

Scone is a nice and tidy small town worth visiting for an overnight stay. Currently, it is suffering from staff shortages like many rural places, so be prepared to find reduced menus at restaurants and pubs and to wait a bit longer than usual. They are doing their best, so one must appreciate their considerable effort and hospitality.

Scone had some great cafe's and boutiques. The surrounding countryside was lovely. We particularly enjoyed Halo cafe and The Cottage restaurant. The Herd store was very nice. We enjoyed trips to Murrurundi.

The town is quite nice.
The town is quite nice. There are two good museums, one of which is dedicated to the 'Walers', the NSW horses that became famous in WW1 in the Middle East, particularly in the 4th Australian Light Horse charge at Beersheba in 1917. There are at least two good restaurants in Scone as well, one of which is rather special. .

My visit to Scone in the beautiful Upper Hunter was a must see for me as I have a keen interest in visiting regional centres in NSW. As a keen supporter of the horse breeding industry I enjoyed a drive past tour of the major studs which are part of the worlds second largest stud scene. The headquarters of the Australian Stock Horse Association Is located here as well as an Equine Research facility. Scone & it’s surrounding countryside is an ongoing tribute to the role the magnificent loyal hardworking horse has played in the development of the entire country.
am very disappointed on your booking app. I booked a room on line but when I arrived I was told that I didn’t have a room.
So I don’t know what the hell was going on. I had the receipt sent to me but was turned away. I had to go to the next town that was 50 minutes away. when I book a room I expect that the booking would be honoured.
I will in future NOT be using your app nor will I be staying at your hotel.
Disgusting treatment and I will be telling my friends to avoid that place.
We stayed at the Gunsynd Studio Apartment for one night while traveling north and were very impressed with this little gem in Scone. The space was even lovelier than the photos show and the kitchen was fully stocked with lots of extra supplies that you wouldn’t expect. This stay far exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend it.
The Belmore is a beautifully renovated old pub in the main street of Scone. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, the cleaning lady gave us a hot tip for breakfast down the street. The shared bathrooms are also renovated beautifully and kept very clean. The room was spotlessly clean with crispy white sheets.
