Only 2 of us travelling but we were put into the largest room they had, basically a small self contained house, was very clean and well decorated and very comfortable.
The host was amazing, had some great tips on where to eat and what to see around the area and greater Tasmania.
Due to recent flooding the motel is going through some renovations, place will be even better when it's completed

This place was incredible! We got a free upgrade to a villa and it was stunning. The location was fantastic and the unit itself was beautiful— a lovely design with a gorgeous view. Being able to open our eyes and see the stars through a wall of windows in the middle of the night was a bonus!

Great glamping getaway. Short drive from St Helens. It's within the Big 4 Holiday Park, right at the end.
The facilities are absolutely perfect for a great camping experience, with a BBQ, outdoor bath (bath salt provided), indoor ensuite, outdoor open air fireplace (firewood and matches provided).
There is also a veggie patch on site with fresh mint, rosemary and thyme for guests to use near the lake. We use the BBQ provided for dinner which worked a charm.
Would highly recommend for a unique experience.
Nice little town for a quick stop off. Not a lot there.
Nice little town for a quick stop off. Not a lot there. We cooked at the house so can't rate the restaurants. Binnalong Bay is a must see, only 10mins drive from St Helens. Walking track around the water at St Helens is nice if you have the time.

The town is small but very accommodating; 2 shopping stores, Reject shop, petrol stations, bottle shop, pub, seafood including locally caught 🦞 lobster.
Lots of local accommodation from van & cabin parks, holiday homes. It is located on the east coast and is a shorter drive from Launceston airport, as Hobart airport is 3hr drive but the roads are excellent.

We stayed to visit mum in the nursing home in St Helens.
We stayed to visit mum in the nursing home in St Helens. We only live one & a half hours drive away and they made us feel most welcomed. We would have liked to stay an extra night and they tried to accommodate us but unfortunately they were fully booked out the following night. Queechy seems to be very popular as I have viewed booking in the past but they have always been booked out.

Exceeded our expectations by a mile.! Steve the host went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, unfortunately we were unable to get into the restaurant, our fault for not booking, but it looked great and the resumes of the kitchen staff were very impressive. The view over the water was just beautiful. we ride our motorbikes in Tassie each year and always pass through St Helens as there was never a decent place to stay, I think we've found one now..!
Fantastic location to visit the Bay of Fires region, beaches and St Helens. The staff were really lovely and friendly and welcoming. The kids enjoyed the jumping pillow and playground and playing with other families in the park. The restaurant on site also had amazing food and great views. Highly reccomend and we would stay again!
Lovely location - while the hotel was quite grand with lots of improvements going on. The restaurant was brilliant and enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful - especially Colleen who checked us in, lovely assest.
