We lived there for a few years a long while ago so I can't say anything much about the tourist side of this town. We go occasionally to visit friends who still live there and that is all we do. It was nice to see some improvements since our last visit all aimed at making the town a pleasant place to visit.

Port Broughton is a lovely seaside town with a fantastically long Jetty where you can try your luck fishing 🐟. Only a few cafe/shops but you don't go there for the shops. The sunset is beautiful. It is a little windy being close to the sea so having a jumper/jacket close by is a must. Oh and don't forget the sunscreen! Even on a cloudy day you can be burnt. There are many playgrounds along the shoreline with bbq facilities great for the families. Overall a safe, quite, breezy town. A definite stop for everyone.

For a family staying on a budget the old pub was excellent. There's also a magnificently refurbished motel down the road with all different combos of rooms. The cleaner takes excellent pride in her work. They were spotless. It's a real chill spot with great coffee across the road at the Bay.
We had Indian at the servo near Snowtown it was fantastic too.
The value for $$ is incredible.

It was great! Family friendly!
It was great! Family friendly! We will definitely be back to see all the upgrades that are happening!
The kids loved the pedal carts, jumping pillow and the pool!
We went on our first family fishing trip just up the road on the jetty which turned out to be a great family activity.
Also had pancakes for breakfast on a barbecue just down the road near another playground and work out equipment.
We had a fantastic well priced meal at the pub.
Cant wait to be back!

I love the rugged coastline and the wheat fields with the Flinders Ranges not too far away. Driving through country towns, stopping for coffee and food and chatting to the locals. I don't like the shops closing so early. Hard to get a coffee after 2pm on a Sunday.
