Swagman Chalet, hotel in Perisher Valley

Providing mountain views, Swagman Chalet in Perisher Valley provides accommodation, a shared lounge, a restaurant, a bar and ski-to-door access. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property.

John and Silky were very accommodating and amended my booking on check-in due to ski-lifts not operating (due to no snow on opening weekend) and us cutting short our stay. The food was plenty, fresh and delicious and John went out of his way to be flexible in picking us up and dropping us off at the ski-tube. Both deliver excellent customer service, as does their waitstaff at meal-times. A friendly, clean and comfortable place to stay. I would recommend them to anyone wanting an enjoyable stay.

The apartment was beautifully appointed. There is a Nespresso machine (wish I'd known about that, I would have brought my favourite capsules), dishwasher, laundry, 1.5 bathrooms. It has a lovely view, the night skiiing fireworks were great to watch from there. The bar is small, with a pool table (which I think you have to pay for, I didn't play). There was an amazing visiting American bartender who made some awesome cocktails, perfect for apres ski. We booked the restaurant, which has generous servings and had live music when we

With Snowy Mountains reachable in 49 km, Kooloora Lodge offers accommodation, a restaurant, a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar. Complimentary WiFi is offered.

Staff was excellent and welcoming. Home environment. Food was really good and generous. I really don’t like “gentleman” portions and that’s what I was worried about. After the first dinner we knew that we are here for a treat. But I wouldn’t mind some ham for breakfast and cheese. I’m not used to hot or cooked breakfast

    Loved the peak music festival.

Loved the peak music festival. I would suggest that no one stays at snowy gums. The hot water system doesn’t work and we only got to have 2 showers in four days. The manager didn’t seem to offer any explanation.

    Perisher is very disappointing!

Perisher is very disappointing! There is no tube town anymore. 5 years ago it was amazing. Scenic chair lift options, magic carpet for kids. There is nothing now. So if you are taking young kids and not skiing, there is zero to do. Just to do 1 chair lift ride it is $200 each for lift passes. Such a joke. On the maps they have tube town. It is gone. There is no play area with t-bar like advertised. Not suited for families. There is no vibe. No winter wonderland. Nothing

perisher had a great selection of facilities such as food ,ski shops, and hotels. The kids had private ski lessons with the instructor being exceptional at getting them up to speed and i was able to have fun skiing with them after only a couple of lessons. The weather was excellent and being spring the scenery was absolutely stunning as you had the snow melt exposing the vegetation combined with the snow background

2020 is definitely not the year that anyone expected, but the Perisher team took everyone's health and safety seriously. I felt comfortable and safe the whole time. The ski instructors were amazing with my children (8, 12 and 14). The runs were well groomed. The lifts queues were well managed. Every Perisher staff member we encountered was very helpful and friendly.

We know the Perisher Valley well.

We know the Perisher Valley well. The Hotel is in an excellent position, but it is old and needs to be brought up to standards. We had Dinner and breakfast at the hotel as part of the package. We had lunch on the skiing slopes. The skiing was good as virtually all lifts were open and the snow was good by Australian standards.

All the On Mountain staff were excellent from Lift Operators, Cafe staff on the Snow (we highly recommend on a fine day, the Eyre Cafe on Mt Perisher), to hotel staff and the Groomers do a wonderful job too, getting out there as soon as the lifts are closed.

The dinners included in the package were very good. Chef really seemed to care to provide gourmet dinners. Breakfast was very good too - much better then expected in this old hotel. I would return for that and for the best location. Rooms were very clean as well. Hotel is old but very charming . Than you - we enjoyed our stay . Hotel also provided lockers and bag storage for those arriving early or departing late. Thank u

Location second to none, overlooking Perisher valley from the ski slopes; convenient ski in ski out; we are vegetarians and there was always a good choice for us - they even made some things specially for us for breakfast one day. The public areas of the lodge are nicely kept, furnished, and decorated with 1950s-60s memorabilia. The atmospheric guest lounge is comfy and cosy and has a stupendous view of Perisher valley.
