How spacious it is. Great location and beautiful view of the water.
Penneshaw was great. Quiet and close to ferry and food options. When you get off the ferry you think there is not much here but look around the side streets and you find many options. It is only half an hour to Kingscote and to the main tourist loop. We had kangaroos at our door each morning and the view of the water and ferry going up and down was lovely.

Penneshaw has a beautiful safe beach, skate park and playground plus hikes for the more adventurous. There is a small supermarket for anything you may need to be self sufficient. Otherwise there are 2 hotels and 2 cafes, all providing eat-in or take-away food as well as a take-away food shop. We were there in January.

The ocean views from the apartment were amazing.
The ocean views from the apartment were amazing. The apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed. It was not far from the ferry terminal. The IGA supermarket is walking distance from the apartments and also was easy to get around the island in our car for gin tasting, wine tasting and a visit to the honey farm.

It was close to the ferry and great local food. Great home base to get to all the sights. The little penguin night tour is excellent. People were wonderful and friendly. Great beach to walk along and swim in close to accomodation. Millpond where we stayed was excellent 5 star property for us we would stay there again and recommend it. Great views from the Millpond. We stayed for 8 nights.

It is a goodvidea to do your research beforehand and plan your trip. We wanted an overall look at the island itself and to eat out occasionally. We achieved our goal in five days some long and some short and with built in rests. Other people may want to participate in activities and there seem to be plenty of options. Although it is an island highlights are spaced so be prepared fir lots of driving whatever your choices. And look out for the native animals

We have had a great time here and seen a lot of kangaroos and wallabies around the house. The view is breathtaking and the sound of the birds in the morning is mesmerising. The night sky is awesome, but it was cloudy for most days.
Seashells Penneshaw was very clean and comfortably spacious for our family of five. It is located close to a beautiful beach, close to the meeting place for our planned excursions and within walking distance to cafes and restaurants. We had an allocated carport space to park our rental car and we enjoyed many walks on the beach that had breath-taking views. It is also located close to where the ferry travels to and from Adelaide. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our family.
Great location with walking distance to IGA, hotels and fuel station. The view is amazing and feels great to wake up to everyday. There are two bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms below. There is a bathroom on ground floor and a bathroom upstairs, and also an additional toilet upstairs. The kitchen is upstairs. Overall, it's very comfortable.
The location of Millpond is only a very short drive from the ferry terminal.
We loved the uninterrupted ocean views, the fireplace, comfy lounges and beds at Millpond.
Everything we could ask for in a holiday rental was supplied by our friendly hosts.
We defiantly stay at Millpond when we return to Penneshaw next time :)
The location is good - near the ferry terminal. Both the Penneshaw pub and IGA store are just a 5 minute stroll from accommodation. Room size is large and comfortable enough for a family of 4, and is also well appointed with crockery and cutlery. The sofa bed was actually good for 2 pax.
Spacious new (or freshly renovated) house, well-equipped, in a very convenient location for the morning cruise in Penneshaw and ferry to the mainland. The host was very responsive and understanding.
