Host met us and showed us how to use door code. Host showed us all amenities. We were there for work but stayed as a family also and it was perfect. Couches in lounge were so comfy. Bed was comfy. Kitchen was huge with all things needed to cook.

I love the private location of this accommodation and the vibrant colours of the interior. Very spacious inside and out, the garden was magical. I am so appreciative that it was dog friendly. Incrediable facilities and very large and comfortable beds. It was easy to locate, and Kath was very welcoming. Would love to return to this accommodation in spring because I know it will be stunning with countless varieties of flowers blooming all around.

Larger country town with great facilities and many sightseeing options. Close to one Australia's great wine regions. Many accommodation choices available to suit all budgets. And of course it has the Blue Lake.

Such a pretty town with so many lovely houses and building. Lovely history to the place. Great vibe in the town centre with cafes and pubs and community. Lots to see and do with all the sinkholes, lakes and proximity to Coonawarra and Port MacDonell beaches

For a big town it lacked a choice of restaurants, we arrived quite late as travelling and nothing was open in town. Actually felt like a ghost town.
Good place to stop if travelling ocean road but only need one night there!
The Barns where we stayed had a good restaurant that was still open but is 20 min drive from town centre.

Beautiful historic town with famous landmarks, such as the volcanic crater lake (Blue Lake) and the Umpherston Sinkhole and sunken gardens. Very walkable town with lots of boutique shops, restaurants and coffee houses.

Much to see and do within a 100km radius of the city.
Much to see and do within a 100km radius of the city. It is a pity the the Princess Margaret Rose Cave is currently shut and there is no indication about a reopening date. The expected date (End of 2023) is now history. Direction signs should carry this information. Naracoorte Caves excellent. Get directions to "Hells Hole" and go for a short walk, Be amazed! Visitor centre is very helpful. If you are reasonably fit climb Mt Schank and walk the rim of an dormant volcano.

Despite the amazing natural attractions (especially the Blue Lake which is resplendent at this time of year), Mount Gambier seems to be revelling in past glories and much of the tourist infrastructure appears dated and run-down. Even the 'attractions' sign as you drive into town is peeling and faded...
We had dinner at the hotel during our stay. Our meals were delicious and were the perfect size. The drinks were also tasty and the price was not exorbitant. We loved the size of our room, including the bed and the bathroom. Perfect for two people, and the free parking was a great bonus. We also made great use of the smart TV and the kettle. Highly recommend, and we'll certainly be visiting again, should the opportunity arise.
