A beautifully presented stone cottage with an historic feel to it and all the mod cons too. Spacious, tidy rooms with dedicated decor that matched it's era. Location excellent with only a short walk through the park to the picturesque main street; Hosts were great and communication was A1.

Cabins were beautifully decorated & comfortable. A lot larger inside than expected. Lovely bathroom and kitchen, large couch and tv was excellent.
Stunning views from the balcony overlooking the water, especially at sunset.
Great service all round! Will most definitely recommend to others and will come back to stay again some time!

We decided to upgrade to the ocean view villas, and wow, it has been amazing. We don't want to leave. The staff here at the park are fantastic, the view is beautiful. Even with the wind. The villas are comfortable and clean. Hot showers, comfortable bed. Seating outside to enjoy the views of port hughes, we will definitely be back.

The property was in a great location for me while visiting area. The room was a standard single which is all I required and I didn’t mind having to share shower and toilet facilities.
I was lucky I was in room number 12 and someone else was staying directly above, the bar said the music was a bit loud and went on a little long but I was not affected by that.
I've been going here since I was a child. Number 1 on the list is the old lollies shop out of town opposite the mine train tours. Town is getting a bit over priced with city shops. But there are still some of the original old shops with plenty of antiques. Parks an streets are way upgraded. New BBQ going in the main square. Every person I spoke to was still that country happiness inviting helped alot with anxiety. Moonta Bay has a water park pt Hughes has the Tavern best feed I found.
Only thing I would avoid is the takeaway shops in kadina. We litterly threw the food out after 1 bite an went to moonta. The Kracken in the main street 🤤🤤
The grave is my father's best friend who we lost to sea at pt Hughes. The bench is from our families set on top the green lawnes coming into pt Hughes with a plaque for each of them. Please have a sit an over look the bay with the boys might even bring you some luck fishing😉

Quaint, tidy town that is full of history.
Quaint, tidy town that is full of history. The Rail Trail is fantastic for bike riding. We had a nice meal in the Moonta Hotel and a brilliant meal at the Italian restaurant Capellas. Very friendly and helpful locals.

Absolutely love Moonta!
Absolutely love Moonta! Such a great country town with lots to see and do. The Moonta Mines is a must with the various mining sites, museum and of course the Old Sweet Shop. There are quite a few good garden and gift shops in the town, we did not walk away empty handed from any of them! Garden Vista, The Moonta Collective and Moonta Garden and Landscape Supplies are all fantastic. There are other towns and areas very close by to visit - Port Hughes, Simms Cove, Kadina, Moonta Bay and Wallaroo. Great of course in summer for the beaches, but also nice to watch the sunset in winter too. Also there are art trails to follow in Kadina, Moonta and surrounds and in Wallaroo and North Beach.

We loved our accommodation with the stunning views.
We loved our accommodation with the stunning views.
The apartment was clean and well appointed.
However we were disappointed with hearing walking from upstairs esp during the night , which went on over an hr.
Also on our last night a family moved into the unit next to ours who were noisy. We could hear the TV and chatting.
We were waken early by the excited children!!
We loved Moonta, the many eating cafes and very friendly people.
Our host was lovely and helpful
It is very easy to get around Moonta.
Wallaroo is close by with easy access..
Next visit we would request an upstairs unit to avoid the steps down to the lower appts.
We stayed in Ryan appt.

Very community based town and very lively through the day.
Very community based town and very lively through the day. It is very quiet at night as you would expect. A short drive from Kadina and Wallaroo makes for a possible great fishing trip or just a place to relax.
