Overrated but capitalist market as prime location and sea beautiful. Accommodation cramped abd tired , grubby surroundings . In area need to go . Good marine life and wonderful unspoilt beaches. Catamaran trip worth it too. . Rather a one off destination

    For kids, it's okay.

For kids, it's okay. However, the cost of the 850km drive from Perth is not commensurate with the facilities. Cervantes is a 100% better place to visit and be in the ocean. As they say, over the blaring megaphone, the dolphins might not turn up. Moreover, people are made to stand at the water's edge and not in the water. There is no touching or interaction with the dolphins. Sea World is more fun and of greater value.

I love the location right in front of the beach and the only accommodation in that area. They also have barbecue facility and shared kitchen with microwave, kettle, stove, fridges. They also have general store so if you want to cook something in the barbee or shared kitchen you can find it there. Snacks, ice cream, water, butter, etc. Also souvenirs. Kettle was rusty inside. Even those in the shared kitchen. So easy to descale them just boil vinegar in it. Can’t even make tea. Housekeeping did not replenish milk & sachet of hot chocolate. $286 per night this is being stingy. On first night after a long drive I just want to shower. But I hate to see sand in the shower area. Obviously it’s not cleaned. The room was run down and they tried to put new fittings. But you can still see rotting skirtings and old grout tiles. The main door, bathroom door, walls, bed head had smudges which obviously nobody paid attention to when cleaning the room. TV never worked always saying network error. Contact number for reception is useless. On our last day check out I approach the reception to give the key. I was told “you know we’re not even open.” Please take note dolphin feeding is not guaranteed. They never come the whole time we stayed. Lucky we went on a boat tour to see dugongs lucky we have seen heaps of dolphins coming to the catamaran.

Love the room and the location and all the facilities.

Love the room and the location and all the facilities. Only thing letting the resort down in my view was the food options. Breakfast great but lunch and dinner options very limited in choice and quality. But don’t let that deter you as the facilities are such you can cook and take your own food. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back for sure.

Its a great location, especially for Families, So much more than just looking for the Dolphins.. Staff are lovely and will definitely come back. Only negative, we stayed in the beachfront rooms - Like a Motel room, guests above us .. sooo noisy!.

We stayed in a beach cabin overlooking the ocean and it was superb. The facility is an excellent location for the Monkey Mia dolphin experience. There are 2 restaurants onsite so you don’t have to trek into Shark Bay. The conservation office is also next to the resort so really convenient to prebook the dolphin feeding. The room itself was spotless and smelt so fresh upon arrival. From looking at other areas of the campsite, RVs etc facilities also looked immaculate.

We had a room overlooking a garden close to the beach and the pool and restaurant. The room had a double and single bed plus a small kitchen area. Emus were frequently seen throughout the resort and were not at all threatening. The resort was very busy with families as we stayed over a holiday weekend. We liked that we were able to view turtles sharks and rays as well as the resident dolphins. The hotel restaurant was excellent.

We stayed in a garden view villa and the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The resort is large with many varied types of accommodation, however, it was not ‘crowded’ and the facilities cater for the number of guests. Spectacular scenery and environment of Monkey Mia makes for a wonderful holiday 😍

We booked beach view room at level 1, hence lovely view from the room. Food from the restaurant is nice. Morning dolphin experience is a must go if you stay at Monkey Mia resort. Staff is very friendly and I even received SMS to welcome us upon check-in.
