The fruit salad was freshly prepared and delicious! The view from the verandah at breakfast was beautiful, and we enjoyed spending time in the garden and pool. We saw a variety of birdlife, as well as some gorgeous butterflies. We were lucky enough to see Cassowaries on both mornings of our stay! John and Guillem are terrific hosts. We received a warm welcome and provided excellent suggestions for eateries and places to visit.

This is a child free resort with basic cabins with single beds as well as other camping options. It is situated at Wongaling Beach, not Mission Beach if you are trying to find directions there with a GPS. Beachfront location adds to the ambience.

Licuala Lodge was an outstanding property and John & Guillem were perfect hosts. Attention to detail was excellent and you were quickly relaxed and made to feel welcome.
The room contained everything you needed and there was an excellent guest lounge as a bonus.
Breakfast was worth travelling for and you ate overlooking magnificent gardens full of birdlife and butterflies. Cassowaries and curlews were regular visitors.

Mission beach is sleepy village.
Mission beach is sleepy village. Has great environment information building in township by shops. Saw cassowary bird. A flightless bird much like an emu or ostrich. Nature walks everywhere but swimming only in stinger net area if going in water or at surf patrolled area.

Mission Beach retains its natural beauty through great maintenance of the tropical gardens, clean seating areas and public facilities. Shops offer well priced merchandise and pleasant staff. The beach provides a lovely children's playground, great walks, amazing views. The Sunday market provides an array of goods, gifts, seafood, so many beautiful items, really great.

Mission Beach is beautiful lovely 14 kms long stretch of sandy beach great for adults and kids alike . Safe for swimming long walks and depending on the time of year delightful weather. It has a range of eateries shops and a Woolworths supermarket pubs and tavern . If u happen to be there when the Sunday market is on its well worth a visit. Caravan parks camping and bungalows

We could walk there easily from the house. We drove to Bingil Bay and to water holes and water falls......but the rain prevented us from walking very far. There are beautiful walks around the area though and are well worth doing. Make sure you wear insect repellant!

Area was good for a quick relaxing break. Tried two different places for a meal on a Monday night and they had run out of a lot of food items from the weekend. But can definitely recommend the little pizza takeaway place open for a couple of hours every night.
