Melbourne used to be a fantastic city.
Melbourne used to be a fantastic city. I have been coming to Melbourne for work for over 40+ years. It is now dirtier, a lot of beggars, rough sleepers, some areas feel unsafe. Top end of Collins from Swanston to Spring streets is still beautiful. I hope that never changes. I took in a show at Athanaem Theatre and then had drinks at The Grand Hyatt. I also went for a meal at Young and Jackson as it never disappoints. It is very easy to get around Melbourne. There is a tram stop called 101 Collins and it's a minute walk, if that, from The Grand Hyatt.

We had an unfortunate incident on the tram to St Kilda yesterday. Had hoped the police would have been called to meet the tram as a lot of people were scared and threatened. Amazing exhibitions went to Banksy and Yayoi Kusama. Great transport options.

Beautiful and peaceful compared to other cities l have visited. l took a walk at midnight around town with my phone taking some beautiful videos. l even went to hungry jacks and grabbed something to eat at midnight, then walked back to where l had booked.

We had a lovely catch up with friends in Melbourne. A lovely dinner at Osteria ilaria and drinks at the ‘the pony bar’ on the yarra river.
Also stopped in at the NGV for the Kusama Yayoi exhibition. Perfect mid week get away.

Melbourne is a beautiful city, very cosmopolitan. What a difference from the Melbourne of the 70’s that I knew!
Theatre, the arts, music, free and paid entertainment, all there.
Nice green areas within cbd, yet not as good and abundant like Adelaide. A bit surprise not too see more green areas in relation to population numbers in cbd.

The food was amazing!
The food was amazing! From yummy brunch places to gourmet dinners, the food was out of the world. It was really convenient to get around the city using trains and trams. It was very multicultural and halal food was pretty much available all over Melbourne.
Old and trusted well located Hotel when visiting the Melbourne CBD booked the basic room, clean bed very comfortable and good bathroom best of all was air conditioning PERFECT temperature then top it off you walk out the door and your in the heart of the City. Also car parking but you should pre book car parking.
Highly recommend “an oldie but a goodie”
Will always stay when visiting Melbourne.

The Nesuto Docklands is clean welcoming hotel with great staff. Situated above a shopping centre with Woolworths, Chemist Warehouse and Coffee shops what more do you need. It is a short walk to the free tram to take you up into the Melbourne CBD. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are airy with a lot of natural light. If you are staying in the Docklands area I would recommend it.
The breakfast was awesome great selection on the menu to choose from. The location was perfect within walking distance to many great sites like laneways NGV, CBD, Fed Square. The hotel was so clean it really did exceed my expectations !! Also how good is Melbourne I haven't been for many years such a cool city !!!
Location is amazing to Melbourne’s CBD, public transport & Southbank. Their quick resolve to make good on our booking when they first informed us the hotel was at capacity and our bedding configuration wasn’t available. After a few minutes we miraculously had the room we had booked. Beds and pillows were comfy.
Enjoyed the overnight stay at this hotel. Good location (except City Rd is probably the worst road in the greater Melbourne CBD - but that isnt the hotel's fault!) comfy room, good price and a short walk to a lot of the things you want to do in Melbourne. Would highly recommend.
