A better plan when arriving from Kakadu would be to immediately visit the museum and Purple Mango brewery, do the sunset billabong trip, have a meal at the Tavern and spent the night at the Tavern Park, and left for Darwin the next day, doing a jumping croc tour and visiting Fogg Dam on the way.

    What a stunning place.

What a stunning place. We spotted at least 14 crocs up close and found the houseboat to be comfortable and adequate for our needs as a family of 5. Cooking up breakfast from the deck at sunrise while watching the river and billabong come to life - priceless.

    Cabins are very sparsely equipped.

Cabins are very sparsely equipped. No cooking or coffee facilities. I would only recommend this place for the grey nomads with their toilet, shower and cooking in caravan or totally self-sufficient campers. Be aware there is no tv, wifi or phone reception. Restaurant may not be open at all.

We booked a container ( nothing else left ) air conditioning was very noisy, lots of bugs in the room , poo on the floor of the loo! Needed a good scrub !!! And a refurbishment… no plates knives forks ( they lent us some ) We moved to a cabin the next day (free because of the poo) it was so different!! Really nice , spacious, clean I’d rent one again . Everything you needed … Pool needed a clean !!! Restaurant was good value , bottle of wine was $13 & nice ,food good . Barrimundi was excellent 👍 they had music on there a live band . It’s in the middle of nowhere !

A real Territory experience! OK so not 5 star, probably not 3 star if comparing to city motels/hotels but you want to meet some real Territorians, eat and drink with locals then you should stay a night here! make sure you do the Corroboree Billabong Tour and if you’re lucky Danni will be your guide!

Nice restful place after camping in tent for 2 weeks. Weekends get noisy & busterious as its the only hotel for a long way.
