Loved the family unit we stayed in was set out really well spacious, great facilities and the pub just across the road is a bonus, walking distance to pier for fishing, lovely little place to stay, glad we pulled in for night.

Ian and Trish are lovely people and made us feel very welcome. The room was very clean and facilities were good. The views from the verandah are fantastic over the rain forests, and the wildlife around there is amazing too.

We stayed one night in a Queen room. The room was small but acceptable for the price. It was clean and had good amenities. Rooms require you to use stairs so not good for anyone with mobility issues.

Beautiful little place, especially for boating and fishing activities. We only ate at the pub associated with Hinchinbrook Resorts where we stayed and we couldn’t fault the service or the food. We did a 3 hour sunset boat trip with Lockie of North Queensland Island Charters, around the western and southern sides of Hinchinbrook, which was fantastic, the water was like glass and the sunset as beautiful. We heard whales talking to each other from the ocean depths, just amazing. The only negative are the mosquitoes at nightfall - make sure you wear repellent! I popped out to take a sunset photo and got about 10 mozzie bites.

Fishing lodge for trailer boats accessing the estuary and Hinchinbrook Island. Motel units and cabins. Clean. Good condition. Nice lawns leading onto the estuary. Pool currently being upgraded. Friendly staff. General store. Good pub across the road and another pub in nearby Lucinda. We were tourists passing through and enjoyed our overnight stay. Heaven for a fishing holiday.

Check in procedure was quite confusing as reception for the lodge is not located with the lodge, and closes early on Sundays!! Go to the little shop next to the boat ramp and make it before 12 midday on Sundays.

Emma was totally understanding of our travel arrangements and organised the room to be at a comfortable temperature for us when we arrived.
The room was very clean, tidy and we slept like babies.
In the morning all we had to do is undo the boat ties and launch, it was a pleasurable experience for us all 😊
Great location in heart of Lucinda. Clean, simple, comfortable rooms with good air conditioning. Strong shower. Lovely pool on the centre of the motel, and satisfactory dinner at the adjoining pub.
