"We had an amazing week at Discovery Parks - Jindabyne! The house was spacious with lake and mountain views. The accommodation was immaculately clean providing a cozy and comfortable retreat throughout our stay. The staff members were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed especially the manager Trent was amazing. The location was perfect – quiet, but close to shops, restaurants, and attractions. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot for our family vacation and will definitely be back and would highly recommend to our family and friends!"

We hadn't been to Jindabyne since 2009 and I suggest that as far as eateries go, you stick to the arcade in the CBD. That's the one where you can see the Woolies signage from the road. Lots of good quality options from Mountain Munchies takeaway (excellent chai latte tea according to my wife and the food is above average for a takeaway), through to the bakery and cafe. Bacco's restaurant is well-rated, but it was closed on Sunday this time around. We went in the off-season and two of the other places we tried beforehand on a Sunday morning were either changing menus and letting their food inventory run out or they offer next to nothing besides jaffles.

We enjoyed the location on the lake.

We enjoyed the location on the lake. Scenery in the area is stunning. People were all friendly and helpful if needed. There would be enough activities for most people even off season when we were there.

I had the good fortune to find and travel on the cooma coach to Perisher. I had not been there since the Old Jindabyne village had been flooded! The snow season was short this year and climate change has altered the scenery. Jindabyne has a pleasant holiday feel in any case, and the residents are putting their hopes in alternative active tourism. As a walker I look forward to guided walks with opportunities to learn about the ecosystems of the area.

    Location is the best.

Location is the best. Right on the lake where you can relax and enjoy serene views. All the restaurants, shops, petrol pumps, snowy region visitor information centre is near by. Rooms are descent. We opted for family room which has direct access to the lake. Parking space is congested and parking slots are not allocate. You have to park wherever there’s a space. Overall - it is recommended to the travelers.

Good spot to stay close if you are planning to go to the snow mountains. (30min approx to Thredbo) Please book in advance and do not pay overpriced rates for basic accommodations. Some hotels take advantage of the high season, which is not worth it if the service or facilities are not in good condition. The town has everything you need: restaurants, hotels, Woolworths, ski shops, rentals, etc., for your ski or snowboarding days in the mountains.

Close to the snow. Good range of restaurants.

Close to the snow. Good range of restaurants. Lots of snow shops all with discounts. Great fishing. Kosciusko beer on tap is almost as good as the beer at Jindabyne Brewing. New find for us was Wild Brumby distillery, well worth a visit for free tastings and good food

When I checked in to the hotel no one bother to tell me that there was no house-keeping during our stay. I found this really strange as three weeks earlier I stayed at another hotel in Jindabyne, it was cheaper but had wonderful service and house-keeping every day, and it was very clean. When I mentioned this to staff they did not care. I suggested to the staff they inform people earlier there is no house-keeping, before they make a booking at that hotel in the future.

The whole experience was fantastic! Firstly the great staff were very welcoming and efficient. Our two bedroom cabin was wonderful, beautiful fireplace, new appliances. Everything looked spotless! Location was perfect for us, just by the lake, 3 mins drive into Jindabyne town centre! Highly recommend it!
