Lovely city with a great mix of things to do. Once you get away from the harbour then things are quieter. Great pubs up little streets. Lots of boutique bars with character. It's got something for everyone

First impression: clean fresh air!
First impression: clean fresh air! Second impression: good tap water. Then: beautiful place with mostly good weather (when I was there). Streets seem to be as hilly as in San Francisco. Groceries seem as expensive as in Sydney but eating out even more expensive than in Sydney. Very good State Library and State Archives in Murray Street. My experience: very good medical services (appointments available quickly). Greencard for public transport in Elizabeth Street. Yummy seafood (A$15 for six sushi roles after approx. 4:30 pm in a mall).

The room and ensuite was spacious, clean, modern and well appointed. Linen was clean and the bed was comfy. Appreciated the complimentary toiletries and daily tidy of the room. The location was literally 5 minutes from Hobart CBD, and Sandy Bay, which we loved. Our room was in a section of the hotel that enabled us to park directly in front of it, which was appreciated. Laundry facilities were excellent and easy to use.
Our premium waterfront suite was absolutely incredible at MACq 01. Everything from the large beautifully designed bathroom to the amazing terrace and harbour views. Highly recommend this suite and hotel for anyone wanting a luxury stay in the heart of Hobart! Staff were very attentive and also made our arrival very pleasant with a bittle of Tasmanian sparkling wine on arrival.
I liked their service, the location was great. I loved the view too, harbour view. The breakfast was not too bad. For 35 dollar for buffet not too bad. Limited choices but worthy the price. I loved their pastries. The twin double bed were great for 3 of us as a family. I think this hotel is the best in hobart. I will come back for sure.
Reception staff were helpful. Hotel lobby was welcoming and warm. Stayed there 8 days. Great location, close to supermarket, good restaurants and Hobart Waterfront. Cleaners were flexible around our comings and goings. Would stay there again, even if a bit pricey, as it's quiet and comfortable.
Good location to sightsee around Hobart. Skybus drop off and pick up stop outside hotel - great for getting to and from airport. Room was clean and comfortable. Reception staff welcoming and helpful
