Location is perfect. The hosts are very good at communicating everything. We unfortunately arrived during a power outage and they kept us informed via messages. We shall return for a longer stay.

Location is very good to be able to walk into town. Cottage is on the main road and can be busy at peak times.
The Old Mechanics Institute was the perfect position.
The Old Mechanics Institute was the perfect position. We were able to leave the car and walk from one end of town (Four Pillars Distillery) to the other end (Giant Steps Cellar door). There are some quirky little eating places in laneways. The italian restaurant "Chachi" was superb, as was the mexican restaurant "The Laneway". The local pubs also served a great meal. Dont miss out on the whiskey bar in the main street.

Some great restaurants, wasy access to other towns in the area. Distinct lack of tourist information. Ok if you like to use a display board; pamphlet available seems to be all about wineries, and food. The library does have some info but not a lot. Sanctuary is great, wear comfortable shoes, plan for a weekend when more shops are open, Wednesday and Thursday not great!.

Great little village with fantastic hiking/walking tracks, natural attractions, short distance to many other amazing towns and experiences, still clos enough to Melbourne to not be a trek!
There literally is something for everyone.

One of the larger townships in the Yarra Valley.
One of the larger townships in the Yarra Valley. A great spot to base your travels from - so quick and close to places like Warburton and Yarra Glen. Some of the tourist information specific to Healesville are a bit outdated (like viewing points that are now overgrown with trees so now there's no view to be had), so just check things before you head out to them.
The Thai resataurant in Healesville was lovely and great value for money. We can also highly recommend the Dark Horse Cafe just out of Yarra Glen - lovely warm hospitality to be had there with very filling and delicious food.

Great place to stay!
Great place to stay! We had such a good time and the cafes and shops were all very friendly. The food was fantastic with so many options. Lots to do around Healesville itself. Highly recommend Marooondah Reservoir for a picnic, walk and explore.
Location was very quiet and private yet a pleasant walk to the bakery, RSL and main street with parking at the door. This cute cottage was cosy with a gas fire and albeit noisy, split system. There was a large recreation area across the road. with many facilities for children However the cottage was really only suitable for a couple with space for a portacot at end of main bed.
A private, spacious, well equipped cottage at the rear of a very large compound. We loved the peaceful outlook and the extensive garden area, complete with friendly chooks. A 15 minute walk down the hill to the main shops. A perfect base from which to explore Healesville and the region. Easy check-in arrangements, great communication from host.
Stayed in the family belle tent. It was cozy, spotlessly clean, well equipped, and makes an interesting change from more run of the mill accommodation. Reception made our late check in seamless.
Great accommodation close to Healesville with Ralph the host extremely friendly to accommodate our family in several rooms and bungalows with great flexibility to support our wedding guests.
