From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the friendly reception staff. The location is quiet and only a 10 minute walk to the main street. We utilised the indoor heated pool and spa which we had to ourselves.

Hastings is on the Westernport Bay side of the peninsular, so is a quieter than the Port Phillip bay side. The locals are friendly. It is close to most of the attractions on the peninsular and makes for a good base. We went to two restaurants and had fabulous food in each.

We had one night’s accommodation at the Sanctuary on Westernport in Hastings which was very comfortable. Local supermarkets and shops and takeaway stores 10 mins walk. We thoroughly would recommend the restaurant in town called Pelikan Societe opposite the Jetty. We would come back again and take the ferry to French Island or Phillip island from Stoney point. There are trains that come from Frankston to the ferry terminal.
