When arriving the weather was awful and the original tiny home we were in had water on the floor. We messaged the host and were quickly moved and they couldn’t do enough for us. There were loads of wildlife in the surroundings, the kangaroos were great to watch playing in the vines. Love the complimentary bottle of wine which we enjoyed in front of the fire. Great stay would love to return in summer when we can make more use of the outdoor area and warmer weather.
Awesome place for a weekend getaway. Host Wendy was amazing and very helpful to make our stay perfect. Facilities were spot on and the breakfast was the perfect touch. Would highly recommend staying here!

YOU ARE NOT PAYING FOR THE HILTON HOTEL, SO DON'T EXPECT IT TO BE THE SAME.
This motel was as basic as they come, however great value for money.
Great Western is a small country town, but this motel was in the heart of it. Great Pub only 25 metres away, with great food and hospitality.
Keys for your room get picked up from the pub.
Can't get anymore local than that!
We used it as a base for Aradale ghost tour and Jward.

It's a rustic, charming looking very country town.
It's a rustic, charming looking very country town. We used it as a base for trips to halls gap zoo and the Grampians which were half an hour and an hour drive or respectively.
On casual walks we saw some nice historic church architecture. Beyond that, the local chemist was knowledgeable and well priced.
We only tried the great western hotel's food and it was a poor experience in timeliness if service and quality. Otherwise, we grabbed takeout from Stawell. Next time we'll likely get a motel closer to the attractions.
